Remarks
I have applied for BIT Mesra, BIT Sindri, and some more colleges of jharkhand. And finally i got a seat both at Mersa and Sindri but in BIT Sindri i was getting CSE branch which is very good here that i can tell from my experience. Admission process here is a little cumbersome task but it's manageable. I would highly recommend that if you are not getting good branch in NIT's or Mesra then don't compromise with branch, instead join BIT Sindri as their cutoffs are not so hard to clear. Placement is also decent here. Culture of the college is also good and is also improving.
Course Curriculum Overview
Exams are timely taken including the mid terms and also. But during this pandemic situation of covid 19 things got little delayed otherwise exam used be scheduled on time. And it is not so difficult to pass those exams even if you study 1 week prior with dedication
Internships Opportunities
Recently IIT Kanpur has been reviewing the college for improvement of college. Also a lot of nice buildings are being constructed to give a nice infrastructure to college. Regarding the internship opportunities TAP is constantly sending us links for the job opportunity from internshaala and other websites.
Placement Experience
The college conducts active placement facilities for the students. The following table gives information about the number of students placed in the past 3 years. There has been extensive training and skill development of the students. Given the number of students, the branches of engineering that are being taught, students have immense opportunities to grow their hard and soft skills and also become profitable employees for the recruiting companies. 318 students got placements in 2018-19 with the highest salary package being INR 10.01 Lakhs while the average package being INR 5.17 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are awarded to the students belonging to economically weaker sections of the society as well as to meritorious students by the institute. Toppers Award: Given for students coming first and second in each year’s exam BITSAA Bermo Chapter Scholarship: INR 10,000 for 2 EWS students. Ashrafi Singh and Ramsakhi Devi Scholarship: INR 10,000 per annum for 1 male and 1 female EWS student.
Campus Life
During the induction program you will be introduced about a lot of clubs that this college have. Regular fests are also conducted. There's a nice library where u can peacefully read. Overall campus life is chill.
Hostel Facilities
A lot of facilities are offered at the college campus to make college life worth remembering. The facilities available at the Birsa Institute of Technology Sindri includes: Hostel: Hostel facilities are available at the college campus for accommodation purposes. Students living far away from the college can make use of this facility. Mess facilities are also provided at the hostel. There are 25 hostel buildings that can accommodate up to 3000 students. Sports Ground: Students can enjoy different sports at the college sports ground. It also includes separate volleyball and badminton court for hostels apart from Central Sports Ground. Bus: The college also provides bus facility for students as well as staff. Students residing away from the college can make use of this facility also. Gym: The college campus includes a fully equipped gym. Students can make use of this facility to maintain their health.
