BESC at it's best

I had only applied for Bhawanipur education society college because it was in my area and also because there is no such need of having 75% attendance which was quite helpful for me as I wanted to prepare for the CA (Chartered Accountant) Examination so I would not be able to attend the classes regularly. For getting admission to our college first of all you need to fill the admission form from the college website and you also need to pay some amount for the admission form. The college offers around 17 different courses. There is 3 sessions provided by the college for the B.com(Hons) students I.e morning, afternoon and evening session. I had availed for the evening session(co--ed). It is from 5:00pm-9:00pm. Morning session(Co-ed) is from6:30am-10:30am. Afternoon session (only for girls) is from 3:00pm-7:00pm. The students are selected based on their class 12 Mark's.

The reason for choosing B.com(Hons) was I wanted to do CA and it would be very helpful for me to prepare for my CA examination as the subject's in b.com(Hons) is similar to the CA subjects. The faculty members of our college are very supportive. The Professor of our college are well qualified and they have teaching experience for many years. Almost all the teachers are good except for some. They try to make us understand the subjects properly and they give their best for making us understand the chapters. After the completion of every chapter, the teacher conducts a small test. The internal exam takes place one month before the final semester exam. During the offline exam, It was quite difficult to get Mark's in CU as they are quite strict while checking the answer sheet.

The fees of our college are high as compare to the other colleges under Calcutta University (CU). The fees for the first year were 50000 including the admission charges. For the second year, the fees were around 44000 and for the third year, the fees are around 47500. There is a scholarship provided by the college if you wish to get the scholarship you should have at least 90% in your class 12 boards(CBSE, ICSE) for the WBSEC board you should have 85% in your class 12.

Umang is the signature fest of our college. It is famous around Kolkata. It takes in the month of December. Mostly Actors,Singers Influencers are invited to the college to perform. It is a 4-day fest which takes place in the college itself. Many people from outside the college come to attend the fest. To attend the umang you need to have an entry pass. Library of our is not so big but all the semester books are available in the library. In order to take the books with you back home, you need to issue the books from the library itself. You can take a maximum of 3 books with you. You can sit in the library and study for how many hours you want to. The classroom is big enough to accommodate around 80-90 students. All the classrooms are air-conditioned and provided with smart boards. All the classrooms also have CCTV cameras provided. The sports arena of our college is very clean, developed and well maintained. Most of the students tend to spend their time in the sports arena.
