Remarks

The admission process was hectic. Due to a bit lack of knowledge about college sites and forms requirement, it became a bit difficult. Also, the process was very long as they had to do many admission. On the first day, I got the list of required documents and then the next day I came to get the token. We waited for the whole day for the turn but had to postpone the next day. The next day around 12, I finally entered the office and got my documents submitted and gotten admission into LHMC.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

In the first year there are 2 term exams, December and April mainly, and it's a bit difficult to pass but if you study regular you can ace it. In the first year, the subjects are anatomy, physiology, biochemistry which forms the base for MBBS. Anatomy is considered a difficult subject due to a lot of learning required. In term exams, there's a specific pattern of questions and you can pass if you work on it.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship is a requirement in MBBS course. It's a 1 year long journey and every student has to complete it. After internship you can write various tests and get admissions for higher degrees or you can work as a doctor too. LHMC has a good reputation so the opportunities are endless.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee is paid 4 times in the whole course and it's minimal as it's a central government college. There are many opportunities for research in the college and the scholarships are provided given you apply at the time. You have to be alert about the dates and requirements of scholarships. You're paid only in the intern year. LHMC is a prestigious college and it's renowned all over the world. The opportunities are endless.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is a bit small but we make it more fun. There are clubs for almost all activities, sports, dance, music, art, drama, debate, photography, writing and many more. It's the situation in Connaught Place so chances of having a good social life are great. It was established in 1914 so it's very old but there are new buildings which have been built and the infrastructure is good. There's an auditorium too with world-class amenities.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities are not so great. There are 4 blocks in a hostel- centenary, north, south, west. The mess is provided and it's in the hostel campus. In the first year, you share a room with 2 other batchmates and after that, you share with 1 of your batchmates. In the 2nd year, you can choose your roommate. The rooms are okay, you have to buy your own stuff, mattress, bedding, utilities, chair and table. You can not install AC in hostel rooms as it's not allowed. The food is okay, not very great but compared to other colleges it's good. The registration process can be found on the official website

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS curriculum is mostly standard, but its relevance is super high because of the massive patient load at SJH. That clinical exposure is the key thing that prepares you for both real life and NEET PG later—that’s why I chose VMMC. Improvements? We need less lecturing and more interactive case discussions and maybe more emphasis on research. Exams are non-stop, seriously! We have internals/semester exams every 3-4 months. They are tough (50% passing), but they force you to study well for the final big Proffs. It’s tiring, but it works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well structured and includes detailed study of all the aspects of medicine which is very relevant in today's world. Since mbbs curriculum is more about practical and less about theory we get a really good patient exposure which makes us ready to deal with patient problems in real life. The course curriculum can be made a little less hectic as in fourth year there are 11 subjects to cover so they can be distributed equally in all the other years and teaching methods can be made more interactive instead of professors just reading the slides monotonously

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is decided by the NMC therefore it is same for all of the doctors. Our college has a good clinical exposure and thus we learn a lot. The course prepares you well, but you always have to learn by yourself. In the area of clinical expertise the treatment of common disease must be taught separately. We have exams Nearly every 3 months, which can be tough to manage, considering that you have to score an average of more than 50% in them . Difficulty level is intermediate
