Remarks

A minimum percentage of 75% is required for admission into BITS. Once selected, there is a reporting day on which you have to report all the listed documents to the respective campus. At BITS, you have to create your own timetable from the pool of all the available courses.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty: Student ratio = 1: 40 The faculties are highly qualified and there is a lot of opportunity for project work if one is genuinely interested. There is one mid-semester and one final semester exam for each course, Apart from it, continued evaluations in form of quizzes, projects, presentations are there which can be surprised or announced in nature.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are available in the pre-final year for all the students. The cgpa criteria are usually 7. Apart from this, the curriculum of BITS includes 2 mandatory internships in form of Practice Schools (PS), one at the end of 2nd year, other in the final year. A lot of PPOs are offered in PS 2.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placements in the final year. Over 120+ companies visit the campus and more than 90% of students get placed. The majority of offers are in software companies. After graduation, I plan on undertaking a job for the next 2-3 years and then go for an MBA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The max. fee hike is 15% per year, Usually, fee hike is around 8-10% per year. Both merit and merit cum need scholarships are available. I got a job offer in Collegedunia as Business Development Manager from campus.

Campus Life

Social life at BITS is one of the best. Cultural Fest: Oasis (October); Tech Fest: Apogee (March) The library holds almost all the books which you will look forward to. Ample opportunities for sports and good playgrounds available. There are over 50 organisations and clubs that are solely run and managed by the students.

Hostel Facilities

The campus is fully residential. Every student resides in the hostel. The hostel facilities are good. Coolers or ACs are neither there nor allowed. The registration is automatic. The mess food is decent. The overall experience made you ready to endure any situation which life presents in the future.

Placement Experience:

Placement are decent in my point of view as college manage to provide campus placement to every eligible students as company ask for your Overrall grade point of the student and apply their standard as 6.5 ogpa or without any backlog and take exam of aptitude and it is based on company policy they take group discussion and then personal interview and if it is software company then coding rounds also. Students in7th semester are ready for placement. In current scenario 6 companies have visited the campus and around 40-45 offers has been given to students. Here each company come with only one package and different job roles some company came with 5.5 lpa and some with 5 lpa and some with 7 lpa so maximum till now from college is 7 lpa and average till now of placed students is 5.5 lpa. 60 percent of students get placed in past years stastics. My plan is to go for higher education ie mtech from good institution.

Each year in seventh semester placement companies visit college for taking students. In mechanical engineering Vedanta and Secure meter come for taking students. The average placement of this college is seven to eight lakhs and highest placement is twenty two lakhs. The best part is the placement in core companies. The average placement CGPA REQUIRED FOR PLACEMENT IS SEVEN CGPA.

BITS Pilani- A relevant review of Pharmacy

I selected this college over other colleges due to its legacy, exposure and opportunities. The freedom to traverse through multiple domains and it's flexible academics. I had applied to almost all biotech, bio engineering related colleges to get into health sector domain. I did not get rejection from any of the colleges. The admission process of my college includes an eligibility test, BITSAT, the scores of which determine admission into thsi college. I had appeared for the test in PCB subjects instead of PCM. I chose BITS Pilani over other colleges due to its academic flexibilitym vibrant culture, zero reservation and merit based admission process. I had confirmed admissions from other colleges such as DTU but I opted for BITS primarily because of it Practice School program and the autonomy it offers in shaping your academic journey.
