NIT Warangal a great place

The colleges i appilied to were NIT Tirchy, NIT Surathkal and NIT Warangal reason being all of those top NITs. I did not avail any quota to apply for the same,the minimum marks required for the course i applied was 175 for the 2017 batch and the application process was very easy since it was centralized by JOSAA

since childhood, i was fascinated by Civil Engineering and also had interest in Maths and Physics in my school days so i chose to apply for the same. NIT Warangal was my first option because the civil department faculties were most experienced in terms of projects all over the world. i can't state an exact Faculty: student ratio but there were always some of the faculties available to discuss projects/ideas Exams were conducted twice in a semester and it was easy to pass or even score good marks even if listened to prof in the class properly

Internships were mainly offered for Software development roles and for other courses students themselves had to search and apply for the internships on their own. Getting an intern offer on campus was very difficult compared to getting a full-time offer

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. More than 90 companies visited during our final year and about 800+ offers were made with the highest package of 51LPA and 8LPA as the average package for various profiles 80+% of students were placed for most of the courses

The Fees structure was quite decent with respect to other NITs for the things provided be it with respect to academics or extracurricular activities. I did not get any scholarship, but i did have some friends who availed Merit scholarships and state scholarships as well

The annual cultural fest was named Springspree and the tech fest was named Technozion which were usually conducted in the month of March and October respectively. there is a vast collection of books and journals in the library for all the courses, also a digital library was started a few years ago A wide variety of indoor and outdoor game Gyms were available in Hostel as well as the physical education dept. About 30-35 clubs are run by students some of which are LDC, Film Committee, Nature's Club,Business Club etc also student portal is run by the wsdc student's team

All the basic amenities required in the hostel were taken care of also the hostel rooms were quite spacious with good ventilation. The Meals in some of the mess provided was very good while it was just okay at others The Registration process for the hostel was very easy since it was online and hostels were very affordable The hostels were located inside the college campus itself
