Entrance Preview
I Gave the UPTU exam which is organised by uttar pradesh technical university every year for admission in state level colleges of state for technical degree. I Scored 260 marks and got 9653 AIR in the exam. I opt for this college because it was the best college i could get on my rank.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course was a good one. The Mechanical Engineering is a well known course throughout the world but our college focused less on the practicals and more on the theory. So as far as research is considered the college was not good. One who has to do further research must opt for M.tech from a good NIT or IIT.
Internships Opportunities
No there were no companies who provided internship from our college.
Placement Experience
For Mechanical department hardly 2 or 3 companies were there including Timex and Lohia. The placement was generally there for CS and IT and for them myriads of companies came the major were infosys and IBM. Around 400 out of total 600 were placed and the average package of all could be estimated to 3 lakh.
College Events
For technical Tech Trishna was there and cultural was Vibrations. The students from college and near by NCR colleges used to participate in the fest. The fests were good and gave good opportunities to students to show their talent.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee was of moderate level. Not too high and not too cheap too. The structure of fee (as per my time) is listed below 1st year 90000, 2nd year 95000, 3rd year 95000, 4th year 85000.
Fees and Financial Aid
No i don't have any idea about such scholarship. But there was a facility of loan was there which was there for financially weaker students which can be availed by banks. That was really helpful for the students as there were myriads of weaker students were there who studied by the virtue of this loan.
Campus Life
The campus life was good and a good environment was there in the college and the hostel premises. The ratio of males to females was around 65:35. The students were of good diversity and every type of student was present in the college. From very studious to very talented in co-curricular activities. The talent in the extra curricular activities was very rich.
Exam Structure
In each semester 2 sessional exams and one pre university test was conducted for evaluation of internal marks which comprised 50% of total weightage and rest 50% was done through the university exam.
Admission
The forms are released in the month of December. The qualification must be 12th appearing or passed.Then an All India Exam is conducted on the basis of the rank you secured in the exam a counselling is provided and the college is alloted to the students.
Faculty
The faculties were of average level not very good. Most of the faculties were M.tech from NIT s and all the HOD s were from IITs. Some faculties were very good but some was just there to pass their time and were preparing for other exams. Overall one can rate the faculties as 6 out of 10.
