Remarks
I applied for NDIM, I was also selected for it but joined IBS Mumbai as I wanted to move out of my comfort zone and go to Mumbai. No, I didn't avail any quota. The admission criteria included aptitude test and GD-PI which was held in the main IBS Hyderabad. The admission process was very smooth we had our aptitude test and the selected students were called to the main campus for GDPI.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to do higher education and do PGPM which is the reason I chose PGPM in Marketing from IBS Mumbai. The faculty: student ratio is also nice. We also have a mentor-mentee program going on in which we discuss all the problems that we face and also if we have any doubt about placements. Most all our faculties our PhD and also hold a lot of experience in teaching as well as working in corporates. We have 2 exams every semester. 1 midterm and 1 end term examination. Both the examination are of moderate level.
Internships Opportunities
So a lot of companies come for Summer Internships as well like Future Generali, HDFC Life, Adity Birla, IIFL etc. some of them provide stipend while some don't depending on our performance many times they give us stipend. Also in our college, there are a lot of live projects going on which the students can actually take up and enhance their skills on that particular area of interest.
Placement Experience
Students on our campus become eligible from the third semester itself. Some of the companies that visit our campus are JP Morgan, Deloitte, Kotak Bank etc The highest package last year was 14 lakhs and the average package offered is around 6 lakhs. So almost 90-92% of students get placed every year. So after I get the degree I am planning to work in an FMCG company and grow in that company.
Fees and Financial Aid
So the fees for this two year PGPM course is 810000 lakhs and in this, we also get our books and the cost of the library. There are a lot of scholarship programs going on for merit students and also for the students who scored good marks in the 1st and 2nd semesters.
Campus Life
The annual fest of IBS Mumbai is named Konflux and it usually it is conducted in the month of January every year. IBS Mumbai has a wide variety of books available in our library. So all the classrooms are Air Conditioned, with a cafeteria area, garden area and also extra-curricular areas. We have a lot of sports and extracurricular activities on our campus. There are a lot of clubs that are primarily run by students
Interview Experience
The topics of the GD were quite easy and so were the interview questions. overall you only should have a good general knowledge and should have the ability to crack the GD. So the process of admission into IBS is through CAT/IBSAT/NMAT scores after this test the students who were selected were called to IBS Hyderabad for the further process of GDPI. The GDPI was conducted on the same day. So I prepared like I read a lot of books of Arun Sharma to crack the aptitude after which I was mainly concentrating on current affairs
