Remarks
There are various entrance exams for colleges having MBA/ PGDM/PGPM/MMA courses. Namely: NMAT, MAT, CAT, XAT, IBSAT, SNAP, etc. The student must be a graduate or in the last year of graduation. And he/she must not have any ATKT exams pending if he/she is registering himself while he/she is in the last year of graduation. Later on, after getting the required cut off as per the college, The admission criteria of IBS Mumbai had 2 rounds: group discussion and personal interview. I did attend GDPI rounds of SIES College, Nerul, as well. I scored more than the cutoff for IBS Mumbai was. And cleared the gdpi rounds as well. The IBS Gdpi rounds were very good, we had a small counselling session before the gdpi rounds. We were told about the college, its placement records, the way they teach (because ibs has case based study).
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty-student ratio of IBS Mumbai is 1:60. All the faculty members are MBA or PhD holders. They are very prepared, intelligent, well-spoken, versatile, and kind. Although some of the faculty seem biased, and this affects your internal marks. But I guess, this happens in every college.
Placement Experience
95% of the students from the 2021 batch got placed. The average number of CTC was 6.38 lacs, and the highest CTC was 10.65 lacs There were many companies that came for the placement process from the following sectors: Pharma, Media and Research, Manufacturing, Logistics, Financial Services, Education, Banking, E-commerce, etc
Fees and Financial Aid
7,50000 was our full time fee for 2 years of the PGPM program. I didn't opt for the hostel. We had online classes due to the lockdown. We received books from the college for every semester exam. We did not receive any uniforms dress, because we never got the chance to attend college, because of the lockdown and covid situation, the college should have refunded that amount at least. But they didn't.
Campus Life
The annual fest is conducted near the month of December. There are a few magazines of various clubs. There's a library in the college. Sadly never got a chance to visit it because of the online classes. There are around 13-14 clubs. There are 4 domain clubs: 2 Marketing clubs, 1HR club, 1 finance club. Then there's also a club for the poets and writers of the college. There's a Fashion club, Art club, singing club, dance club, economics club, IT club, sales club, directing club.
Interview Experience
The topic given to me for my GD was: EQ or IQ? which is more important for success? This topic was a very brilliant one. We were able to speak on it and make some valid points. The personal interview round was very easy, they asked about the education details and some questions were regarding your home town and its history, etc.
