Remarks

I applied for private colleges in Banglore because my rank in COMEDK was around 1500 but they were really expensive, so I had to choose between some IIIT's and MBMEC. I inquired about MBM from some of my friends and relatives and they all said it is a decent college. So, I'm here. Yes, I am OBC. There are no rigid criteria for admission, you just need to apply, and on the basis of merit (from all the students that applied here, if you're up in the merit you will get admission. But I must say it's really easy to get admission here. You just need to qualify JEE-MAINS. The admission process was pretty straightforward, you apply in REAP, select your priorities of colleges. According to your marks and rank, you'll get colleges according to your priorities. And everything will be shown on REAP site. Once you get MBM you just need to visit college once for verification with identity documents. And admission DONE!!

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I choose this course because I was largely interested in Computer Science from the 10th class. So I had already decided that I'll pursue my B.E. only in CS. There's no strict ratio for the whole college, it depends from department to department. In some departments, it's really good and some departments are really bad. But overall speaking it's pretty decent like you won't face any difficulty only because of the ratio. Like always, some faculties are really dedicated towards their profession and others just want to enjoy their salaries. But since the govt. introduced TEQUIP, maximum of faculties re young blooded and passionate to teach. So if someone wants to study he'll enjoy studying here. EXAMS, that's where our college lags behind. We have no academic calendar (because of some internal political matters) and due to which exams always get delayed a little. But they're not that tough so you're not worried so much about the exams.

Internships Opportunities

2

Getting n internship from MBM is a difficult task as there's no help from the college side and no companies visit us for internships. So you have to grab internships completely on your own. But students manage this problem also.

Placement Experience

3

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for placements. We have a whole lot of companies coming for placements. to get more information about placements, visit - "mbm.ac.in/placement-records". Here you will find a list of all the companies that visit MBM for placements. But in general, the avg package from our college goes around 5 l.p.a. and the highest package goes about 25 l.p.a. but they're mostly off-campus placements. But the placement percentage is really good like if you're only a little bit serious bout studies you'll get placed somewhere for sure. My plans re for higher studies from some IIT and thats why I'm preparing for GATE 2022.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since MBM is a govt-funded college, so it's not much costly compared to other colleges. In your 4 years of B.E. if you stay in hostels and don't live a lavish life then the whole engineering will cost you around 6 lacs. Plus there are no frequent fee hikes. So in summary, MBM is pretty much an affordable college. Yes. there are internal scholarships too, for the batch toppers in every branch which almost makes your tuition fee-free but I don't exactly remember the names of these scholarships. But you don't get any stipend for B.E. which is for obvious reasons but M.E. students get a stipend for pursuing higher studies from the government (of around 12,400 Rs.).

Campus Life

3

There are a lot of fests in our college, some of them re - SPLASH, ENCARTA, SPECTRO and some technical fests like INNOVARIOUS, etc. And their conduction is not rigid, they will happen at any time of the year. The library is pretty old from the infrastructure point of view, but you'll find most of the books there that you'll need in your engineering life. Classrooms are as fine as they need to be in a govt college. You can count sports in this college's cons. Because sports are not really taken are here. We even have a gym but that too is not maintained. MBM is rich from a cultural point of view, you'll find clubs for any activity that a student can imagine of. Dance, singing, poetry, writing, drama, programming, robotics, and whatnot. There are no websites for now, but we're in the process of launching them soon.

Hostel Facilities

3

The rooms are good. You'll be provided sufficient furniture like a bed, table, chair, almirah. But the mess is really bad but they're cheap. So you have to choose between money and quality. Hostel rooms are less compared to students' numbers so you need to have a little nicer grades to get hostel accommodations. But they're REALLY affordable for about 900Rs. per month you get free electricity and water. But yes there are no single rooms. You need to have a room partner.

Placement Experience:

Placement are decent in my point of view as college manage to provide campus placement to every eligible students as company ask for your Overrall grade point of the student and apply their standard as 6.5 ogpa or without any backlog and take exam of aptitude and it is based on company policy they take group discussion and then personal interview and if it is software company then coding rounds also. Students in7th semester are ready for placement. In current scenario 6 companies have visited the campus and around 40-45 offers has been given to students. Here each company come with only one package and different job roles some company came with 5.5 lpa and some with 5 lpa and some with 7 lpa so maximum till now from college is 7 lpa and average till now of placed students is 5.5 lpa. 60 percent of students get placed in past years stastics. My plan is to go for higher education ie mtech from good institution.
