Life in Maharaja Surajmal Institute

Admission process is really smooth. Firstly i had fill a form of IPU CET Exam. Then i went to give the exam and got result in a month. Then councelling starts online, which is also really convenient. I had applied for top colleges of IPU like Maharaja Surajmal Institute, Vivekananda institute of professional studies, JIMS,etc because I got 72th in CET, because of which i got admission in top college of IPU i.e. MSI without availing any quota. If you got above 60% in 12th class then you can apply for BCA but you have to give CET exam . Then you will get admission according to your rank. Then they will told you to come to the college to got selected and you have to submit all the required documents which i feel is very tiring process .

I choose this course because i really like things about electronics, i feel attracted towards computer and stuff from childhood, then after opting computer science in 12th , i know what i want to do and chose this course. Talking about the faculty members, there is more than enough faculty members to handle the students, actually its more like a School where if one teacher is absent then some other teacher take the class. As far as the qualification of teachers is considered, i feel like they know how to teach there partiy subject, and that should be more than enough for students, teachers are nice and supportive towards students which i like the most about them. There are 2 semester in each year of course, in each semester there is one mid term exams and one end term exam, internal practical and external practical exams were akso held in each semester, and difficulty of exams is not so high, actually our teachers says that in IPU the more you write, the more you marks you get.

If i remember my fees for each year is ?86,400+ 13,000, and 5,000 for security which will be returned after completion of course.As i come from lower middle class family, it's not feasible for my family to pay 1 lakh rupees every year, but we did pay it, but there is scholarship scheme controled by delhi government called Merit-cum-Means income linked financial scheme for students of state Universities of Delhi. According to which if are belong to economically weaker section and you passes all exams with more than 60% marks then you get relaxation in fees. And i got 100% scholarship in my fees which is just great students like me. So if you want to pursue BCA or any course in delhi don't worry about fees.

Annual fest is conducted in the month of January every year before the beginning of next semester. Annual fest is really something that students needs to refresh themselves from this hectic life. Library is big enough to hold many students with different rooms(if you need) with air conditioning. In library there is also some computers for Computer science students which is very thoughtful because if a student want to complete some projects or practice something they can easily do it. If anyone wants some books, they can issue them from book bank for entire semester. Classrooms are big and spacious but there is no AC is classrooms, but all conputer labs air conditioned with 30+ computer in each lab. Every Saturday, students can come to participate in different sports competition held in college and different plays, music concert also held in college.
