Remarks

Overall the college was not great, there could be lot of improvements in terms of eduction, more culturals and better faculties.

Entrance Preview

MAT, I took up this course so that it would be a foundation for doing ICWA. There was an interview round with the principal with few text book questions asked during interview. Also took up an aptitude test.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course structure was good as it was affiliated to Madras university. There were no electives as such except for the language option. The curriculum can be a little improved with few role play and other related activities based on improving communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Internships Opportunities

They do provide internships, however they fail to guide students whenever required. The system should be improved .

Placement Experience

2.5

Job placements were very poor. There were 10-12 companies offering 4-6 positions for the strength of 350+ students. And students were allowed to attend only 1 interview. That was the only challenge students were facing and few of them did not bother about attending interviews .

College Events

3.5

There were not much of cultural events. Out of 3 years in that college, there were only two events, one was Hindi cultural event and the other was like an exhibition. There was really no scope for enjoyment in culturals. This was not bothered about student participation in events and din't provide a chance to explore their talents.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As I was a part of the evening college, the fee structure was quite high compared to other colleges. There were massive difference in fee structure for day and evening college studentsI was paying 18k per semester, meanwhike day college students would pay 3k .

Fees and Financial Aid

As far as I know, there were scholarship facilities available only to the SC/ST caste students. They were almost paying nothing as semester fees. The general caste were kept away from these benefits. Inspire of me approaching the management several times, I was denied .

Campus Life

2

Extracurricular was the inter college event which was only sports and no other entertainment. The faculties did not encourage students much to participate on sports. Where as the NCC participation was encouraged and given full freedom to be a part of the growing community.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Haven't been in the hostel, but I have heard that the facilities were pretty good and the hostel fee was also nominal. The late timings were also not taken much into consideration, provided you keep the hostel warden happy! Nothing much could share about

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors were helpful in terms of supporring juniors tobparticipate in NCC or sports. They were frequently in touch with juniors to guide them and make sure the participation is made.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was great as this college was affiliated with Madras university. But can be improved a bit more and focus can be more on real time problem solving and improvement of communication skills. Overall the exams were good and easy to score a pass

Faculty

2

The faculties were not very knowledgeable and below average standards . Especially the HOD has a very bad attitude towards treating students whoever needs support. They were not interested in the feedback for sessions as few of them really wanted them ngs

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect will be accounting that made me choose this couse. The curriculum made me to prepare for future accounting field works and knowledge around the field. The improvements that I suggest may is to add more relevent real life job experience in subject books itself. As per me who is one of a topper student in my college, The difficulty is moderate to me and timing of exams are more enough to fill all the questions.

Placement Experience:

In MCC there is placement but it's not 100% placement, only 10 to 20 from a class of 60 gets placed, so when it comes to placement it's upto to you and your skills. Normaly the placement enrollment starts at beginning of your 5th semester or end of your fourth semester, you can opt for placement or higher study. The highest package was from Standard Chartered & Deloitte it was 6 Lakhs CTC. Accenture, TCS and some well known companies will participate in placement drive. The average package will be Rs.3.5 Lakhs CTS. I'm planning to go for higher studies while doing a part time job after getting degree.
