Detail review of Sathyabama university Chennai.

Like all students, I also applied to more than one college for B. E./Btech. A program like Chandigarh university, G L Bajaj, SRM. But, I choose this means Sathyabama university because it provides Better quality of education in a very disciplined manner. It has a good discipline system in all departments and that is one of the main reasons for joining this university. Although online classes are going now because of the corona pandemic so, tbh all the good things which I heard about it haven't experienced 100% by me till now. The admission criteria are the same as others they have conducted an entrance exam but you can also take direct admission based on your 12th board exam. You have to score 50% aggregate marks in PCM. But, you can also take admission in that if you don't fulfil these marks criteria under any quota. As I take direct admission so I tell about that you just need to go to the campus with all your details and take admission for those who give the entrance exam counselling process happen.

They conduct exams on time and that's one of the good things about this university. You have to submit your assignments before exams. They conduct two midterm exams and two quizzes before End semester exam in online mode which is going now. However, in online mode, you don't have to worry about midterms and quizzes you can pass easily but you need to study well for the end sem exam in online mode also. By the way, in offline you need to study well for exams Overall they have a good examination process.

As I mentioned earlier I just promoted to the second year. So, I am not the best person for this thing. For good internships, you have to try your own. Many companies like DELL, Coding ninjas etc. Provides campus ambassador program in which you can get goodies, coupons, laptops, courses for free. I haven't done any big projects till now. So, sorry I can't tell you much about this.

From the third year itself, they will start to prepare for placements and you can take placement after the end of the third year itself. The placement is good. placement cell is also good. More than 80% of technical dept. Students got campus placement. Although the% is a little bit low for non-technical background students. Many companies visited campus like Amazon, TCS, Wipro, cognizant and many startups visit also. The highest package offered is 40 lacs in 2019. The average package is also good around 4-5 lacs. My first plan is to get a good job if unfortunately I will unable to do that then I will go for a decent job for few years then according to the situation I will plan what to do.

As I just promoted to 2nd year. So, I am not the best person to talk about this but I am giving details which I heard from seniors they provide scholarships based on their entrance exam and they also help you to get a loan. The campus placement process is good and they will prepare you for that from the third year onwards in a very good manner. Their placement cell is good as I heard. Although, internship opportunities are not very good. You have to do it on your own to get a good internship.

They conduct one big Annual fest every year and they also invite celebrities although mostly from the South film industry like Suriya, Tamanna Bhatia, Yash and many more. I don't know much about tech fest because of online classes but they conduct tech. Programs and webinars often. The library is good you should not worry about that. Sport is a thing you should worry about because they don't provide good outdoor sports facilities. Indoor sports is also ok-ok. But, you can take part in many extracurricular activities. There are many clubs in which most of them are run by students like there is a one of the main club Technical club run by students. If you will join this club , you will regret joining it. There are also organizations like NSS, NCC, NYCI which are runs by students and their higher rank people. There are also many clubs like Eco, Art, Sports etc.

Hostel rooms qualities are not very good because they shift 4 students in one room. Although they also have AC rooms and their quality is good but you have to rich enough for that rooms. Food is a thing for that you will feel lucky fin comparison to other college students. Food quality is very good and if you are a non-veg. The lover then trusts me this university will goona be like heaven for you because they provide non-veg 5 days in a week. And one of the best things about this university is they provide free breakfast and lunch for all day scholar students also. You can get hostel easily for that you need to talk with the office and you will get it. There are many PGs, flats, hostels near the university on a distance of 3-10 km. You should not worry about that because you can take university's buses from anywhere around that.
