Remarks

The admission is done on the basis of the UPSEE result and the admission is process is simple. I was previously chosen another college but after knowing about this college I changed my mind to get admission to this college in my second counseling.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I always want to study medicines and drugs, the minimum qualification required to get admission is the intermediate and the total duration of the course is 4 years, and the exam is taken by AKTU. The faculties and the facilities here are very good. All teachers are minimum M.pharm qualified and some are also done Ph.D.s. the ratio of faculty: student is 1:5.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

I was offered an internship at dchemie healthcare Sikkim but by the side, I was also offered from Abbott so I chose Abbott and the stipend provided is 12400 per month. I was offered a role in pharmacovigilance of three drugs in the city which I was mostly done in the evening after college as I have to only collect the side effects of the drug and make DMF & CTD which is to be uploaded on companies portal.

Placement Experience

5

Students are eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester with the minor criteria that students had no backlogs in their results with a minimum of 60% marks. many companies visit here as training & placement cell here is very active. literally, I was only selected by two companies Abbott and in dchemie and I go for Abbott as the company is so good in their respective field. the package I got is starting 4lacs annually which is almost doubled now and that was my plan too for me after my degree which is fulfilled by cell. I am always thankful to the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee of B.pharm is 65000 rupees annually in which they provide book bank and other facilities excluding the exam fee of AKTU which is 7865 per year for both semesters occurring in the year that is odd and even. The scholarship you can apply for is the state government scholarship program that is the dashmottar scholarship program.

Campus Life

4.5

The annual and tech fest includes poster presentations, seminars, conferences, and obviously fresher parties. All the standard books are available in the library and most important all Indian pharmacopeia editions are available here as well which is not in every college library. All classrooms have well ventilated conditions with PowerPoint presenter in case of study or discussion held through power point presenter. The ground is very big and it is separated into sections for various sports with three-sport teachers who are for all sport guidance and training required.

Interview Experience

4.5

The topic includes the recent topics as well as other topics that were asked in the higher exam of competition. Mock interviews were held on a monthly basis and after the interview students counseling with their pros & cons. Faculties help us in preparation for interviews. The criteria for admission in a college are management quota(direct admission) and through UPSEE as discussed in the previous section.

In current scenarios b pharma is one of the best option to pursue carrier for becoming drug inspector or pharmacist. The frequency of exam is after every 3 months we have to give sessional exams followed by annual exams ( theory + practicals).

Placement Experience:

Placements in my college are average, not very high but some companies do visit every year. Students become eligible for placements from final year, mostly from 7th or 8th semester. Companies are not very big mostly local or mid level pharma companies come. Some roles offered are like production, quality control and marketing. Highest package is not very high, around 3-4 LPA and average package is around 2-2.5 LPA. Percentage of students getting placement is not very high, maybe around 40-50% approx. Many students prefer to go for higher studies or try off campus jobs. My plan after completing degree is to look for job in pharma field or maybe go for higher studies depending on opportunity. Overall placement is okay but needs improvement.

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is average, not very high but also not too bad. Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester. Some companies visit the college but not many big companies comes regularly. Companies like small pharma companies and local companies visit and offer roles like production, quality control and sales. The highest package is around 3–4 LPA and average package is about 2–2.5 LPA. Number of offers is also limited and not all students get placed. Around 30-40% students get placement from campus, rest students have to search job on their own or go for higher studies. College gives some support but not very strong placement help. Because of this, many students including me are planning for higher studies or preparing for competitive exams to get better opportunities. Overall placement is okay but need improvement.
