IBS-Review

It was a lengthy process with GD and PI being on the IBS Hyderabad campus. Not so difficult to crack it with PI including basic questions. Entrance test IBSAT was fairly easy with no negative marketing. GD had 10 students and 2 faculties to watch over. The topic given was current affairs. There was also a knowledge session with various well-settled alumni before the GD. The whole process of GD and PI took almost the whole day as there are a lot of students.

There are roughly 70 students in a class. Most faculties are highly educated and had worked in various corporates. Exams have been conducted online, so they are lengthy and it's hard to score above 9 CGPA.

Interned at Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance. To Stipend a student has to do a sale of Rs 1 lac p.a. The internship was very insightful and we got to know how social media marketing works and also how to pitch sales.

Students get eligible for placements near the 3rd semester's end. A lot of companies visit the campus for placement. Including big 4 companies and various top banks. Package Ranging from 5 lacs to 12 lacs. Almost 99% of students getting placed.

They charge around 8 Lacs fees for the 2 years course and they didn't reduce the fees in the pandemic. Internships are fairly ok as most of the companies are mainly focused on sales. Except for 4-5 companies.

The annual fest of college is amazing although this time it was done virtually. Books were mailed to us at our home address. The college has various fun clubs and domain clubs too and members have to maintain the social media and website of the respective clubs getting a real-life experience of how social media marketing works.

Topics for GD were fairly easy mostly current trends in the market. The interview included just the basic knowledge and asked questions that we have mentioned in the CV. I didn't prepare much for these as I had a job experience, so the interview was easy for me.
