Entrance Preview

I took AIEEE and scored around 250 marks in the year 2010. Chose CSE as I had no idea about other branches.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is good but also redundant, there are a few things that can be cut from the syllabus and the same time can be utilised for a detailed course of a particular field. The course that I joined was decent enough for placements and undergraduates who don't have to go for research. For research purpose, the college will have to be rated as mediocre.

Internships Opportunities

The college provides internship but the percentage is very low,for a branch like CSE ,IT,ECE ,it is the most and is approx 5 percent, for other branches there is no internship but the numbers have increased in the last few years.Average stipend would be around 40 k per month.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement is very good. In total, more than 100 companies came, 95 percent batch was placed for CSE, IT, CSE, Biotech. The number was lower for other branches as students go for research and public sector companies and the companies too take through GATE exam. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman, Flipkart, Oracle, Samsung, Sprinkler etc were major recruiters, companies like Infosys, TCS, IBM, Accenture were mass recruiters and their package was the lowest for college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure at my time was very feasible, around 20000 per semester was a lesser amount to pay and with the hostel and mess fee ranging from 6-8 per semester is also very less in comparison to other private college that charge around 1 lacs per year for the same. Mess is also managed by the students with two posts assigned in each hosted for the same, mess manager and secretary.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facility is available by the SBI for all the underprivileged students, scholarship is not given by the college.

Campus Life

2.5

The gender ratio is the worst that can ever be,it's the best for CSE, IT, ECE, Biotech students with around 12:1 boys per girl ratio and for other branches. Total number of girls are less than 5,manufacturing workshop is good, student activity centre is there the tolerance level is nice in all terms.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was too hectic at that time, with 2 mid send and an end semester with six papers each plus the practicals and 1-2 quizzes. So around 25 papers one had to give each semester and that's 50 exams per year. Plus with other project activities and college festivals. It was too tiring. But the relaxed attendance system and relative grading helped a bit, nowadays there is only one mid semester in place of two and the grading system is absolute instead of relative.

Admission

Notification was released in December. I was preparing for engineering entrance exams so I had a fair idea about form details, exam happened on last Sunday of April, scores came in may, college counselling started in June, college started on 20th July. The process was simple if you have to go for single counselling but there were 6 in total so If the rank was a little over 5000 or in the 10 k-30 k range.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
