ICFAI IBS MUMBAI STUDENT EXPERIENCE

I had given the IBSAT test, thereafter we had a Group Discussion and Personal Interview in Hyderabad. we were marked out of 100 in which I secured 93.1%. We got Induction Sessions for a week before starting with regular classes, Minimum Criteria for admission is that student must have done their graduation or in the final year of graduation. The minimum age limit is 18 years and there is no maximum age limit.

The first two semesters the syllabus is the same and in the 3rd semester we have to choose our specialization and I am doing a specialization in Human Resources, 1:60 faculty-student ratio, faculties are from corporate experience, hold a masters or Ph.D. degree, and work experience of min 5 years. The exams happen every two months and we have a continuous evaluation in the form of assignments quizzes research presentations group activities.

The internship opportunity is provided to every student and doing an internship is compulsory for the students. Companies like Amul, Fraxjotic, Xanadu, Hul, etc visit our campus. In an internship, every student has to make a project which will be evaluated and graded.

From the 3rd semester, our placement starts and the eligibility for the placements is the student must have cleared all the fees and had scored more than 5.5 CGPA. Companies like ITC, JPMC, ICICI, HDFC, DHL visit our campus for placements and the average package was 6.5 lakh last year and the highest package provided to students is 17 lakhs and almost 90% of students got placed every year.

The cost to study I feel is relatively expensive, we do have scholarship opportunities, campus placements, and extra assistance on upskilling and soft skills along with webinars and domain-related events and competitions. The total fee of IBS Mumbai is 810000 which is to be paid in 5 equal installments and financial assistance is also provided to students if needed, The college provides merit scholarships to a student on the basis of performance in the semester exams.

We have an annual fest called Konflux which is organized in the month of January by the different clubs of the college. The college has its own library which has a variety of domains and subjects related to research material, premium business journals, and magazines, we have clubs and groups dedicated to various facets such as art craft sports analytics human resources,s, etc. which covers largely all non curriculum and curriculum activities. Sports, seminars, quizzes, etc are also organized by the clubs for the overall development of the students.

GD and PI are compulsory for everyone. GD topics include Business news, economics, Current affairs, etc my topic for GD was Nationalised vs privatized banks, which are better? In the Personal Interview, they asked me about my personal background, career goals, and objectives. they also asked me general knowledge questions.
