Remarks
The college admission process was smooth, I had applied in ccet Chandigarh and uicet Chandigarh as well in the counseling. I got EEE in UIET Chandigarh in the last round, the cutoff was almost 91%ile for general category students. Counseling was online and it went well.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose EEE in UIET because I was not getting CSE/IT/ECE in any well-reputated college,and I also had some interest in electrical so it was a healthy decision for me. Faculty: student ratio is good as very less crowd is there in the college, faculties are well qualified and experienced, overall teaching is fine with some exceptions. Exams are quite frequent, there are two midterms and one final exam, the best part is best of the two midterms is added in the result. Exam level is very standard, it is mix of basic and advanced concepts of the subject.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are decent, companies like Amazon, Goldman Sachs offer internships. ECELL also organizes events like intern fair every year to provide students internship opportunities, many startups offer internships for different rules like developer, BDA, social media marketing, content writer, etc.
Placement Experience
Eligibility- After 6th sem Companies- Amazon, KPMG, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, American Express, Samsung, HUL, Optum, ZS, and other top companies. Highest package-30LPA Average package- 7LPA Around 60% of students get placed, CSE, IT students see maximum placements and mechanical, biotech has very low placement percent. But many students crack exams like GATE, CAT every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is around 1 lakhs per year, and it increase around 5-10k every year. You can get scholarships but not on basis of merit, there are different scholarships criteria for different sections of society. Placements are decent, good companies come at campus but not very huge in number.
Campus Life
Social life is quite active, there are many clubs in college which promote all sort of hobbies and activities, like DEBSOC, DCU, ECELL and many more. GOONJ is the annual fest , usually held in marchor april every year, The college avails benefits of the big AC Joshi library of Panjab University. All sort of sports and extra cirricular activities are promoted in the college.
