Bits Pilani, Its Magic

I applied for BITS Pilani, Pilani campus through staff quota. Only the organization's employees children have this privilege to get admission as it is merit based admission process. The merit is released as per the class 12th percentage and only science streams are being offered, there is no B.Tech degree offered to those availing for staff quota. Competition is tough. Also, the same semester fee is paid by everyone, no concession is provided to staff students and there no difference, rest everything is the same for all the Bitsians. The admission process was very smooth and the first day was just getting all the docs verified followed by parents orientation and student orientation separately.

I choose chemistry because call 12th chemistry was really interesting and analytical. It opens up a huge range of career options even if we are looking for a job in another field, the critical and analytical skills come in handy and are very helpful. Holistic development is guaranteed as we as Bitsians not only do the discipline courses for which they are enrolled but we are given more flexible opportunities to explore any disciples of our choices including engineering foundation courses and general awareness and professional courses. Very engaging and friendly faculty with 20 highly educated professors holding PhD degrees and excellent research experience. We had 2 main exams comprehensive which were at the end of each term and midterms, as the name suggests in the mid semester. In between, we had 6 tutorial exams which were very easy to score but compare and mid sem were a little tough as the competition was very high and the avg of the course usually goes up in those two major exams.

PS I and PS II- Two internship opportunities given to every student and the projects given in both the internships are industry based and there is a huge learning scope as you get to work on real life problems with real life executives in the fast paced environment.

On campus placements and pre placement offers are the two modes on can get placed at Bits Pilani. On campus placements are highly competitive and stress driven as a lot of good tier 1, 2 companies come and the packages provided by them is also very good. Since it's highly competitive the entire season is for one whole semester and each student is allowed to choose in which sem they want to sit for placement and in which sem they want to opt for Intern in which PPO is given by majorly all the companies.

The admission fee is 36,200/- for the Pilani campus and the first, sem tuition fee was 159,000/- excluding hostel fee, mess, electricity advance and other advances. Scholarship:- Two kinds of scholarships is provided by Bits Pilani, Institue own merit award and Institute own merit cum need award. The details can be seen on the official website of the college I have done 2 internships provided by my college but again, for the type of internship you have to work toward that and get yourself a good internship. The first intern was with Aditya Birla Group, Grasim Industries which was for 2 months(Unpaid) and the second one was with AlmaConnect(paid).

Best college, campus life one can ask for and get. So many clubs and departments to explore and a highly cultural driven life one can expect. One of the most beautiful campuses and infrastructure. All the facilities of sports, be it any sport there is dedicated infrastructure there. Campus life is beautiful and a lot of places to explore as the entire campus is very huge and green, eco friendly with perfect weather. Not to mention extreme winters and summers because c'mon it's Rajasthan.
