proud to be a part of IHM jaipur

I had applied for Du and ihm jaipur both but I was much interested in hotel management which was the main reason for my joining ihm jaipur. For being a part of this IHM colleges we need or crack the hotel management exam i.e. NCHMCT exam. After clearing the exam we have 2 rounds for college selection where we have counseling sessions which included our preferences of the college and if in the rounds we get a preferable college on the basis of our rank, if we are interested in that college, we need to pay 40000 to lock our admission and send basic documents. After joining the college, we have to rst of the fees. For admission in IHM, we need minimum marks to 50% in 12th, and the age limit for this course is below 25 yrs.

I chose this course as I am keenly interested to be a part of the hotel industry. The faculty of ihm Jaipur are very good, experienced, and full of knowledge. The total students in my batch are 197 students in all. All the teachers are well educated and qualified. Though due to pandemics, the classes are being online teachers are putting complete efforts to help us learn efficiently and properly. There are 2 term exams in a particular semester. There is no difficulty in passing the exam.

The college provides internship opportunities in the 2nd year. the companies visited during internships. companies like HYATT, TAJ, OBEROIS etc provides internship opportunities, which are available with IHM jaipur. The companies provide stipends to students in form of letters of recommendation, job offers etc.

In the 2nd year, students are sent for internship training for approximately 4-6 months in the various reputed colleges based on their interviews in hotels. almost every student who attend for interviews gets placedin one or other company. The students of our college has the highest percentage of getting placements. The highest salary package offered is around 4.5 LPA -5LPA. Top recruiting companies are HYATT, OBEROI, JAYPEE, ITC, DOMINOS, REBEL etc. my plan after getting degree is to join a reputed hotel like oberois or taj hotel as a chef.

Though the fees are high but include all necessary facilities. the fees structure includes exam fees, mid-term fees, college activities charges, etc. there is an NSE scholarship that is basically provided to OBC castes or the backward classes. ihm Jaipur does not provide campus jobs but instead provides internships to various hotels in the 2nd year.

The life at the campus is just amazing. The college provides various fests like Umang etc for the students of the college. It is organized in the month of March. The books have to be purchased on our own but in case of non-availability of books with the student, the library has a complete stock of all the books and journals. the classrooms are well organized and include all the necessary amenities. The College campus provides all sports and extracurricular activities like badminton, cricket, chess etc.

Ihm Jaipur provides a well-equipped and furnished hostel facility. hostel fees are around 15000RS. the facilities provided in my room were electric points, bed, study table, chair, cupboard and many more. The meal provided at the mess was ok. The menu was fixed for all the days. The registration process for the hostel was started by filling a hostel form which includes attachments like adhar card and some important documents. The rooms were allotted to children on the basis of their ranks in the NCHM exam.
