Entrance Preview

I have just got into GCT through my HSC mark. In my Higher Secondary School, i took a score of 1150 out of 1200 with the Cut OFF of 196.25 out of 200. I took this institution because its PURELY reserved seats and no management seats are allotted. Also, this is top 5th Institution out of 220 College under Anna University Counselling.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, we will be hired by some reputed organisations like Zoho, Huawei and Amazon who will provide 3 to 6 months of internship and the stipend will vary from 15k to 30k.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its very very feasible. Since it is Government College, they charge very less fee for the students. It will be like 6.5 k per year is a semester fee and around 1.5k for mess fee per month and 303 is the room rent per year. No other fees charged by the college.

Exam Structure

Actually it will be perfect structure with needed exams and experimental labs rather than having unwanted Slip test which will be very hectic for students. Our Exam Structure is like we will have 3 Unit test and One main semester exam and one model lab and main lab exam.

Faculty

All our faculties are highly qualified at least would be have completed ME or M.Tech and we have couple of expertise in varies technology papers. Also they undergoes many national conference and many national standard training to improve themselves. Also, note that they will publish from 5 to 10 papers every year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

A detailed review on GCT Coimbatore - Most affordable college of Asia.

In the admission process i applied only for government colleges like anna university chennai, gct coimbatore, gce salem, thiagaraja college madurai like that. Because i cant afford private college, among these government colleges gct coimbatore remains my first choice and got the admission in there. The main reason of choosing this college is affordable fee structure and good placement statistics. The admission process for government colleges are purely through Counselling process, there is no management quota. Based on our 12 th mark, a cutoff for 200 marks will be calculated. In this 100 marks from maths and 50 from physics and 50 from chemistry will be accounted. Then a rank list will be released based on this cutoff mark incl all applicants, it is called general rank list. There will be other rank list like community rank list where the rank will be grouped by community such as BC, MBC, SC/ST. Every college will release a seat matrix based upon their vacancy. Student have to fill a choice list based on their interest. And based on the rank, the software will check the vacancy for seats in the choice order and finally college is alloted.
