Remarks
I joined St.Joseph's Biotechnology through Anna University counseling. I selected Rajalakshmi Engineering college and Sri Venkateswara College of engineering. but I opted for St.Joseph's because it has a good curriculum and decorum. Placements in St.Joseph's compared to other college is good.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because basically, I am a bio student. No regrets, my staff thought me all the concepts well and well. There are like 30 staff and a classroom has 60 students. The staffs are friendly, they will teach us and clear our doubts in every class. They even like to teach us in extra time if we are willing to learn. The exams happened often, we had 3 cycles and 1 model exam for internal marks and they will give you a re-examination to clear our subject If we fail on the first attempt.
Internships Opportunities
Our college supports students to do training and internships in their curriculum in every semester holidays . They gave many value-added courses. They will guide our project and give many ideas to develop the project. I have attended many presentations, national conferences. This added great value to my curriculum.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester, we can go for placements. They will bring many recruiters to the campus, Many MNCs like Cognizant, Infosys, IBM, ZoomRx, Zoho came for recruiting. Nearly 1400 placement offers we got in our academic year. This count keeps increasing year by year. 20% of students are getting placed in campus placements. I got my degree from St. Joseph and working in Cognizant with good pay
Fees and Financial Aid
I came through counseling, so I got a scholarship of Rs 20,000. Including that my course fee includes food it came around Rs1,00,000. For management students, it came to around Rs 1,45,000. I got campus placement in Cognizant with CTC around 4 LPA.
Campus Life
We have several clubs like English, tamil, entrepreneurship, maths. They will contact games and contact seminars, internships in those clubs . We have Christmas day fest, achievers day , annual day , cultural day, sports day . They had a book bank where several authors' books will be available we can take any author's books and study our syllabus . St.Josephs is famous for sports activities. They will select and train good sports persons without any training fee. They have smart room classes also
Hostel Facilities
Mobile phones are not allowed on the campus , They will provide water and drinking water 24/7. Hot water will be provided in the winter season with scheduled timings. Hostel rooms will be spacious and it has an attached bathroom with them. Sweepers come and clean alternate days. About meals, they provided our tasty meals. We had both veg and nonveg it's upto our choice. Food quality is 10/10.
