Shaurya Kalia's Review On Jaypee Institute Of Information Technology University - [JIIT], Noida

I gave JEE exam and scored a rank of 51k. JIIT is one of the best colleges in NCR if you want to opt computer science but could not score a rank below 10k in JEE , very few people know this but i somehow did and joined here.

The course is very well set up. JIIT is a deemed university so the course keeps on changing with respect to the new and upcoming technologies in IT. I at hand have experienced this change and really appreciate it . Research work is not followed on a large scale but whenever done leads to great outcomes.

No college does not provide internship. We have to look for it on our own that too mostly during the summer vacations.

Placements are truly the best when compared to any private college in delhi - ncr region. Companies like amazon , kuliza , deloitte , Ernst and Young , Belzabar , SAP labs , Zomato , Barclays bank came and offered packages between 6-28 lakhs p.a. Mass recruiters like infosys , cognizant and wipro also pay visit here.

Fee structure is between feasible and expensive . Hostel costs have gone up recently and the services haven't improved according to that so there's that. Besides that development fee of 50 k is taken every year which seems to be going to waste. NRI quota students pay a lot more which is totally not worth this.

No scholarship is granted to students of the college except to the year topper at the end of the degree but i am not sure how it exactly works and how much is granted .

Gender ratio is about 5:3 which is pretty good i guess. Parties , co curricular activities take place almost every other week and with huge participation keeping students in good form. Dance , Debating , Music , Theater are one of the best Student clubs working to make life interesting here. Robotics is also a hugely followed religion with teams winning in competitions all over India.

Hostels are really good. Spacious , with aa proper facilities and AC's at a low price of 55k per semester. The college has a huge hostel of 19 floors with indoor games , gym , admin block , swimming pools , TV room . Mess food is worth the price and much better than you will find in any government or private colleges.

Alumni's are very helpful and always stay in touch with the students. This helps a lot in placements and finding good job opportunities.

Exams take place 3 times a semester so that is a bit hectic also labs and projects keep going on throughout the semester making days around them really hectic but besides that life is particularly chill over here. If only exams could be reduced to twice a semester.

All of the senior faculty here is very interactive and qualified . They impart very apt approaches and thinking to the students but most of the junior faculty does not take this very seriously. On the basis of qualification , many of the junior faculty needs to be changed.
