Entrance Preview

I gave the mains as every one else, but I got into SNU based on my 12th marks. I had gotten an aggregate of 92.2% and that at time, it got me Scholarship 'A' which completely covered my tuition fee. The main reason I opted for SNU was because of it's curriculum. It allows to do a minor in any subject. It let my pursue my passion for English Literature while working on my other passion Computers.

Placement Experience

4

Placements of our previous batches were very promising. With big companies coming like Amazon, Directi, Dell, Zomato, Rockwell Automation, Viasat, Cognizant and various others for each branch. The Dream companies like Amazon, Directi and Zomato offer a CTC of 12-15 L. For an undergraduate student, getting a CTC of this amount, we couldn't ask for more.

College Events

5

The events at SNU are always happening. Be it a technical event, or cultural or even management fests. There's an annual inter college cultural fest called Breeze which happens around November. Many great star performers are brought and students from over 30+ colleges from all over India participate. There's also sports fest happening at this time. In March, there's also Zephyr which is an intra college fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since SNU gives Scholarships, the free structure is quite feasible (especially considering the value of our faculty). The tuition fee depends on the scholarship. The hostel fees is 50k yearly. Apart from that, there is mess charges and laundry which are nominal.

Fees and Financial Aid

SNU offers scholarships to all the students. There are of three types - A, B or C - depending on the 12th marks. I got Scholarship 'A' which meant I didn't have to pay for my tuition fees at all.

Campus Life

5

Our campus itself is huge and filled with a lot of greenery. The infrastructure is so fine that the college can be seen clearly even from a distance. SNU makes it a point to take students from all states and cultures. So the diversity here is huge. In first we are paired with random roommates so that we get to meet different people.

Hostel Facilities

5

SNU has one of the best hostels in the country. It's spacious and comfortable. Every room is provided with bed, cupboard, study table and chair. First years have a four-sharing room and the rest have twin-sharing. PHD and MBA students have single occupation rooms (with or without AC).

Exam Structure

SNU follows a continuation evaluation patterns, which means that we keep having quizzes and labs throughout. This keeps us up-to-date with the course work. The test schedule is given well beforehand so that we have time to prepare well. The tests are easy most of the times, and if you are regular in lectures, it is not at all a problem. The labs are fun to do and we are given time to complete before moving on to the next.

Admission

The first process of the admission was SNU-SAT which was an aptitude test. After qualifying that I was called for an interview. It was a very friendly and casual interview. They asked about my interest in the course I was taking, asked a few questions about my school and hobbies etc.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty are hand picked. Almost all our professors are Phd's. They have deep knowledge of their domain. Plus they really help if you wanna take up some research. We also have a feedback form at the end of a semester where we can rate our teachers accordingly. SNU is always striving to be better, be it education, courses, faculty or training us students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a software developer. The faculty are very kind and helpful. Almost every faculty member has completed there post-graduation from various established colleges. The examination scheme is a little bit slow here. Students can pass their semester exams if they are paying at least 45 per cent of their concentration.
