CET , 7000 ranking. Heard from one of my relative about this college was good & it had a good name in other field of education. Since I wanted to study Electronics itself, chose this college as it had good faculties.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was good enough to understand the concepts provided to us by the university Visveswaraiah Technological University (Belguam). There were many courses - Electronics & Communication, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering ,Information Technology, Construction Technology, Automobile Engineering, Biotechnology .
Internships Opportunities
Oxford college of engineering does not have the option of internships. So there is no question of general stipend or experience there.
Placement Experience
The college was started just 2 years before I joined, so not much of placements happened. But heard now, that there is very good placements & job opportunities provided to the students. Majority of the students from sixth semester itself get placed.
College Events
College day was there every year and sports used to take place every now and then. No excursions were arranged by the management , only the students used to decide upon that and arrange everything themselves and go to the trips etc. Sports & games were held really well there.
Exam Structure
Exam structure and schedule is as per the university i.e. Visveswaraiah Technological University.So there is nothing expicit to say about the exam structure as the college is affiliated to Visveswaraiah Technological University & the exams as held as per Visveswaraiah Technological University.
Admission
Admission process was very simple as everything was taken care by the CET cell at Malleswaram. We had to just take the fees acknowledgement receipt to the college and then enroll to the college. Entire admission process is pretty simple. Management quota students have to directly go to the college and meet the principle for admission and then proceed further.
Faculty
Few faculty are really good they are concerned about student's welfare specially first year is really good but as we enter into core departments faculty behaviour automatically changes and try to control us especially in ECE, ISE. ECE HOD doesn't known anything about subject, just bluffs whole day.
