Review for a cause.

I applied this college alongside other colleges as well according to the priority but happened to get selected here through counselling(because of my rank and desired course).I took a look about the information of all colleges I wanted to get into. My cousins had graduated through this college and so they advised me to think about it too. MJCET is a NAAC accredited institution and is affiliated to Osmania University. It is located in the heart of the city Hyderabad. So transportation was convenient for me. Among all the colleges inside the city MJCET was a very reputed institution and a better option compared to others. It has many student societies and courses to choose from. Both curricular and extra curricular activities go hand in hand here(if interested).

We follow AICTE curriculum. It was fine until they introduced unrequired subjects like biology, indian traditional knowledge, Indian Constitution etc. Such subjects do not have credits but we are required to pass them all to get promoted. Most of the faculty have great degrees and most of them have completed their PhDs. The exams are not that hard to pass.

We are required to do an internship as per the curriculum. But the college does not provide any. We have to apply them ourselves off campus.

From the 7th semester , the on campus placements begin. TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Delloite, ServiceNow etc are a few companies that come for recruitments. For getting placed minimum of 60% academically is needed without any backlogs(most companies have this cut off). Ofcourse it depends from company to company.

The Higher Education has increased the fees for the upcoming batches while mine remains the same. Scholarships are available to those in need(government scholarships). On campus placements are there too.

ADSOPHOS is the technical fest we have each year usually conducted around February. Library is huge and resources are available. Sports and extracurricular activities block is provided for all. We have different student societies to enhance the personality both personally and professionally. It is an open gate college.

The college doesn't provide hostels. You have to rent them out yourselves if you want to. There are many hostels around the college at a walkable distance from the campus. Facility for both boys and girls.
