BHU, Varanasi - MCA Program

I completed my graduation in BHU, Varanasi itself and the kind of experience I gained at that time was the reason I decided to continue my studies from here only. The university got 10th position for overall NIRF rankings of 2020 along with approvals from agencies AIU and UGC. MCA admissions to the university are based on the academic records, BHU PET score and Counselling procedure.

The cores of computer science programme are covered well in the program. The faculty at BHU consists of experts for both theoretical and practical contents. The modern classrooms at BHU help students to learn theoretical knowledge and practical implementation of the same. The total duration of the program is 3 years which consists of 6 semesters.

I had to go back to my home just few days before the internship of our batch and due to this I was not able to participate in the round. Although I haven't opted for it some of the students who worked shared their experiences with me. As per which I have given 8-star rating to the internships

The placements of our university consists of participation of wellknown recruiters from Science, Management and Technical fields. The 2020 placements recorded the average package of INR 7 LPA and the famous names present for the placement round were Infosys, Accenture and ICICI. Most of the students of our program got recruitments and the highest package for the drive was around INR 16 LPA.

Total fee for the MCA program of BHU is INR 3.6 lacs. This fee structure has the inclusion of tuition fee while the hostel fee is excluded from it. The hostel fee is excluded from it but it is very affordable. Because the annual hostel fee is just around INR 2500. Students of the EWS section can get financial assistance as per the rules set by Government. Deserving students are also on provided with merit based scholarships by the university

Quiz- Sports competitions, the annual fest and the cultural activities are the most famous events at BHU, Varanasi. For lovers of Journals and books the University library has a grand volume of content that too of the top notch quality. The Quiz Club, Fine Arts Club, Theatre Club and Music club organises activities related to their respective fields and committies like Academic Affairs,Students Affairs and Research & Development committees are also there in our university.

For any student the hostel life experience may not he good for the starting days but once he gets adapted to the environment there is no better place to be at. The hostel facilities at BHU were very reasonable as the annual fee was nearly INR 2500. The best thing about the hostel was the kind of food the mess served. The Quality Of food was really great as it never made me feel homesick. The mess changed the menu after regular intervals as per the suggestions provided.

Admissions to MCA program at BHU are based on the BHU PET entrance score, academic background. The applicants are shortlisted on these factors and then they are called for counselling round. The university checks the merit rank of the students for allocation of the seats.
