My MBA-Finance Review

ABS, Bangalore is AICTE approved and also holds international accreditation from US based Council for Business Education. The institute was among the top 45 B-schools of the country in 2020 rankings of NIRF and MBA is the most famous program of ABS. The applicants score in entrance, academic records & GD/interview performance were checked for admissions to the institute.

The reason for choosing Finance specialisation of the MBA program was my interest to excel myself in financial fields. The institute is a reknowned B-schools of our region and its course curriculum is a major part of it. It covered all basic fundamentals of management and there are totally 6 terms in the programme. The program is a full time on campus course and its faculty team enhances learning experience of the students very well .

The internship round of our program gave almost all participating students good enough offers. I was able to get a INR 23,000 stipend for my internship and the internship helped me to learn about different fields of management field.

The 2020 campus drive recorded quite Impressive offers and around 45% of the recruiters were new one's. Totally 300+ visitors participated in the round and the average salary package was INR 7.7 LPA. The highest offered package was worth INR 18 LPA. The prominent firms in the drive were Loreal, Aditya Birla and Volvo and my package was of INR 10 LPA.

For the MBA-Finance program at Alliance Business School the students must pay a total program fee of INR 13.5 Lacs. Having the tuition fee included within the structure was very comparable to same kind of B-schools. Those who belong to SC/ST category or EWS section can get grants to reduce financial pressure under the Eligibility Criterias.

The campus gave me opportunity to explore both program related and extracurricular activities. The famous events of ABS are the sports competitions, cultural activities and fests. The sports events of our college were organised by the sports committee and the placement committee organised everything regarding the placement drive.

The hostel life taught me things like self dependence and also gave me the chance to interact with different minds from across the country. I lived in a sharing room and lived the best of days there. The overall hostel facilities were also great as all necessary facilities were provided to us by the hostel adminstration. The mess also worked under the supervision of hostel wardens.

For MBA program admissions the score in CAT/XAT/MAT exams was checked and the academic records of the applicants was also noted during the shortlisting process. After this, the interview round and group exercise was also there in the admission process.
