My Experience at JIM, Jaipur

The reason for opting PGDM program and that too from this college was not a big deal for me. I had already heard about this college earlier by one of my faculty in the previous college. Also, I checked the placement rate, participating companies, alumnus record, course curriculum, fee structure and I found it good for pursuing PGDM. Then I made up my mind to take admission and so, I filled the application form and waited for the response. Then on the basis of my MAT score and also in previous academic marks, I was called for selection procedure that involve GD and PI rounds. Post completion of these rounds, I got enrolled.

The course curriculum is prepared by experienced academicians to accelerate our learning graph. The course curriculum comprises of summer internship program of 12 weeks, 6 workshop courses, 16 core courses and 15 elective courses. Apart from the curriculum, our faculty members who hold the degree of leading Institutions in the country play an influencial role in teaching-learning process. Besides getting the classroom lectures, we also get training before placement wherein our faculties intensify our soft skills, analytical thinking capacity, decision-making capacity, managerial skills.

The placement cell of our college is best as due to their hard work only, placement rate continues to either increase or stick at the same point i.e. 98%. Most of our seniors got placed in E-commerce, FMCG, and Manufacturing sector followed with sectors like banking and financial services, research and consulting, insurance and automobiles. However, the top employers that show their participation every year include Amazon Johnson & Johnson, BlueDart, Adani Wilmar, HCL Technologies, JK Tyres and others. The package offered by the recruiters was of 19 LPA as highest CTC and 6.8 LPA as an average CTC.

The total tuition fee for PGDM program in my college is 8.4 lakhs excluding hostel and mess charges. Also, my college provide scholarships to the meritorious students. The criteria for scholarship differs based on marks acquired in CAT, MAT and other national level competitive exam. Even I got scholarship of 200000 as I had scored 78% in CAT exam. Apart from that I also got concession of 50000 as sibling scholarship since I brother had completed his post graduation from the same college. Also, educational loan are made available for those who are economically weak. Our college shares partnership with several banks like Axis Bank, State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank.

Events like IIC, Jai Utsav, fight for fitness, praktikos, OJAS are conducted in our college every year. Apart from that, we have clubs like sports club, cultural club, dance club, music club and few others and there are the reasons for having fun in the campus. Other than these events and other curricular activities, we have got so many things to where we go and create memories and learn new things and so, my campus life at this college has been the best place I have ever lived in.
