Brand name of the college, and quality of faculties and placements. Admission process is simply based on JEE MAIN rank followed by choice filling in JOSAA. Reason of preferring this college over others was that in other colleges I was not getting good courses.
Course Curriculum Overview
Reason for choosing this course was simply because I wanted to be in a good college. No particular liking for the course. Faculty to student ratio in my dept was average, below the required min though. Faculties were well qualified and experienced at teaching. Term exams were conducted twice in a semester apart from 2 small tests conducted in between. And the exams were difficult to pass, difficulty level 7 in a scale of 10.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester you are eligible for campus placements. percentage of students getting placed vary greatly from one branch to another. While CSE sees an almost 90-95% placement, in branches like Metallurgy and Biotech, its limited to as low as 50-60%. Many students opt out for higher studies as well
Fee Structure And Facilities
Scholarship is only for toppers of each branch, they get their whole semester course fee waived off; and for SC/ST category. I got a job in Myntra as an Associate in Warehouse operations. It was an on campus placement and I got a package of 4.5 lpa.
Campus Life
Annual tech fest- Technozion in oct/nov; Annual cultural fest- Springspree in March. Library is very vast and has a huge collection of books. All classrooms have the basic amenities required for conduction of smooth presentations. Campus has a well lit stadium. Students run a lot of clubs.
Hostel Facilities
A bed, study table and chair, a cupboard, LAN port and a small shelf. Meal quality is not that great, specially if you dont like south indian food much. For registration, you just have to visit the hostel office of the college, nothing else.
