BITS-Excellent Education

I was determined to get a good placement along with good education and college life that I would cherish forever. Hence Chose this Institute after knowing that placement ratio is very high as well as education is decent and campus is very good. For admission BITSAT exam was required so I appeared for the same. Hyderabad campus Is one of a kind so when I got allotted I was happy.

Electrical and Electronics is branch in Engineering that gives opportunity of careers in government as well as private sectors. So I choose this field for my bachelors. Lectures consisted of vast knowledge imparted by the faculties who were PhD. Designing of circuits and other subjects like VLSI design, fiber optics were taught practically in lab and theoretically in the classrooms. After each semester On- paper Exams were held along with practical assessments.

From the fourth year, first semester recruitments take place on campus. Instructions are given for the Campus drive in advance. Application for job has to be submitted according to eligibility criteria of the particular visiting company. After Interview round at campus, list of selected one's are announced at the conference hall. After finalizing copy of signed offer letter are forwarded to the respective company. Highest package offered was 40LPA and average package offered is 13-15LPA. 90% was the percentage range of placements. Top companies visiting every year are Dell, Deloitte, Tata steel, Amazon, Capgemini, Infoysys, Amdocs,Intel, L&T etc.

The annual fees for first year 3,56,000 INR. Admission fee is 39,000 paid at the time of admission. Student union fees and aid fund is Rs 675 which is to be paid annually. Also Other advances fees which is to be paid at the beginning of each semester is 12,000 INR. Institute caution deposit is 3000 rs. 8 - 10% increase in fee is the fee hike policy observed. Scholarships are purely given on merit basis. Top 1% is given 100% of the tuition fees as scholarship and so on the pattern follows.

Campus Life is very engaging. Unique fest held annually add a feather in the cap. Main Events held annually are Pearl, ATMOS, Arena. Pearl is the intra-college cultural festival which is held comprising of various events like Quiz, Dance, literary events, Music events . Various famous artists and band perform during Pearl. ATMOS is the Techno-management Fest where entrepreneurs, students, academicians gather all over from India to participate in workshops, conferences and techno competitions held during the fest. Arena is the national annual sports event that has variety of games like football, volleyball, table tennis, carrom, athletics etc. Library at the campus has more than 50,000 books available along with 7000 plus e-journals that could be accessed anytime. Fests have given me confidence of interacting with people.

On-Campus hostels are well equipped with basic amenities. In a double sharing room, a bed, cupboard, a chair & table and a bookshelf for each is provided. Bathrooms are common on each floor. They are cleaned regularly and hygiene is well maintained. Mess is clean and food is good.

BITSAT is the only entrance exam accepted for admissions. 75% in 12th is a requirement with 60% marks in Physics, chemistry and mathematics each. After appearing for BITSAT exam I applied for admission via online one of application. Institute level counselling was held at the campus. BITSAT Cut-off for the branch I wanted was was 355 and I had scored 380.
