Remarks

I came to know through my research that faculty from IIM A,B and C teach at IIM Nagpur as visiting faculty. I checked the student activities and was convinced that there are many opportunities for students to learn and grow.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is at par with other IIMs. Most courses were case based. We had interactive classes and for Most courses, there were marks for participating during classes. All faculty members were highly qualified, Most of them were from top B-Schools of India. We had surprize quizzes, mid-term and end term exams.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 1200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Due to covid, the internship experience was not good for most students.

Placement Experience

The average salary was 13.21 LPA. Most companies were startups. Management Trainee was the role which was offered the most. A lot of companies offered roles in sales. The placements start in the second year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There are scholarships that are offered for academic excellence. Many banks offer easy education loans. No campus jobs. Mess fee is not included in the hostel fee. We had to pay ~5,000 per month as mess fee.

Campus Life

Life at campus was very nice. The VNIT campus offered a great place for the college. There are five academic clubs and 13 non academic clubs and committees. All clubs and committees organized their events and kept the student fraternity engaged. The library provided many resources for research.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility was not that great. Some lucky students got attached washroom, while others got very small rooms. The mess food was decent. The hostel fee did not cover the mess fee and we had to pay ~5,000 per month for the mess food. The mess committee was responsible to create the menu and handle any food related complaints that students had. The mess committee did a very good job.

My SBS Journey

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

from 2 sem you get to apply from interships and from 5th sem for placements ,i applied for only company which was tiaa one of the most biggest mnc in india who is direct compitator of jp morgan , i got a package of 6 lacks ctc per anum but the highest package was 12 lacks , the college has a policy that all student gets placed no students are left behind

Promising campus with room for better faculty.

Placement Experience:

After sem 4 we get final placement companies in the campus there are total 200 plus companies come to the campus till september to november almost 35 companies already come to the campus. The companies are ICICI, HDFC, RISHAB WORLD, INSYNC, DENSTU, ITC, BHARAT ELECTRONICS, CORDELIA CRUISE, MORNING STAR, NOMURA, NYKA, NAUKRI.COM. the highest package was given by a company name bharat electronics for HR specialization is 12 lakhs per annum. Almost in my time there 35percent get placed. I plan after degree is first 3-5 yrs in corporate lufe then after own business.

To be honest there are placements but the placements are like no one want to be there it is just something unacceptable for the HR students . The promises the long talks are all false and they doesn't focus on students future and career rather they care for just attendance

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. Perks of cracking IIM, Nagpur

Apart from IIM, Nagpur I applied for NIT Trichy, IIIT Lucknow, SRCC GBO and other IIMs too. I converted IIM Vishakhapatnam, IIM Trichy, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Ranchi, NIT Trichy, IIIT Lucknow, SRCC GBO AIR 14th. Remaking of Career - IIM Nagpur - 9th Best IIMs out of Best B- Schools in Country

The admission Process at my time was full of options. There was a CAP - Common Admission Process for 11 IIMs which were mostly 2nd Generation and 3rd Generation IIMs apart from IIM Nagpur, IIM Visakhapatnam, and IIM Amritsar. Eligibility of the course can be done only through CAT which is handled by the IIMs. Once my CAT scores came out, I applied to the college through CAT on the college's website. Once I cleared the cut-offs specified by the college, I received a mail to fill out the SOP and application.
