Bankura Sammillani College-Heaven for Mathematics lovers

After completing my higher secondary examination I applied to various colleges in Bankura for B.Sc in Mathematics. The colleges are Bankura Sammillani College, Bankura Christian College etc.I couldn't clear the cut-off for Bankura Christian College. The rest of the colleges to which I applied was very far away from my home.So I opt for Bankura Sammillani College. The admission procedure is very simple. After hs, we have to apply for various colleges in which we want to study.If our hs marks clears the cut off marks for a respective college then we get to study in that college.

I choose this course because from childhood days I have a strong affection towards Mathematics,so I opt it .In Bankura the best colleges to study are Bankura Sammillani College and Bankura Christian College. In my college student to faculty, the ratio is very good. We have approx 1 faculty per 30 students. Here all the faculty members are very qualified and knowledgeable. They are all Ph.D. holders in their respective fields.Their teaching style is very helpful. Since college is under Bankura University,so we have to follow the academic curriculum of Bankura University.We have 6 semesters. In each semester we have 2 internal assessments and 1 final exam for each subject.

Since my college is a government college, so we have to pay very little compared to other private colleges.I have paid per year 10000 rs for each year. Since it is a government college,so there is no sudden fee hike. For needy, meritorious students our college provides half and full freeship to the students. Besides that West Bengal govt provides Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship to poor students.

Since our college is at the center of Bankura City, college life in our college is just awesome. We have various clubs in our college such as Mathemania, Physicsdunia etc. Every our the students celebrate every puja on our college campus. Every year our college organizes an inter-college cultural and sports tournament.
