I had to take EAMCET to get in to engineering college. With my intermediate score weightage of 25% I was able to secure 48,162 rank. Like all my friends I chose random options starting with big colleges hoping I will get a good college and finally I did get one.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was all pre-planned course structure with option of selecting 2 electives in the final year. Our management chosen(through voting system) 'Mobile Computing' and 'Artificial Intelligence' in 4th year 1st semester and 'Web services' and 'Storage Area Network' in 2nd semester.
Internships Opportunities
No, we did not had internships at college and no way of getting stipend for that matter. Our management might have come up with option of Internship now, but none of our batch mates had such option.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships were provided by the local government for those students who comes from families with less than 1 Lakh income, but many of my friends who's family income was about 6 Lakhs but still were able to get scholarships by showing fraud documents. Loans were accepted by college but, it's students responsibility to get them approved and processed.
Campus Life
Gender ratio was equally maintained through out all sections. Our college management made sure that were won't be scarcity of equipment for students in labs. Sports was never conducted or managed by college management, it's student's own discretion to gather friends and to play any sport, but there was a very big ground college provided us.
Hostel Facilities
ATRI college doesn't provide accommodation. It was just a day-scholar college. But, it was never a problem for stay near college. There were plenty of colleges who offered accommodation for minimal fee which would be around Rs 2500 - Rs 3500 range with decent food and basic amenities.
Alumni/Alumna
There was no relation maintained by college with the alumni network. It depends up on student how good senior friends he/she had and well she interact with them to know further opportunities. My seniors were always a great support and were always there for me and referred to companies they got in.
Exam Structure
Exam structure was same as any other college which are under JNTU syllabus. Very frequent internals, lab exams followed by externals at the end of each semester. It was said that JNTU has the record of conducting more number of exams for each B.Tech student than any other universities, but it was lot of fun.
Admission
To get admission in engineering colleges, we will need to appear for EAMCET, after getting the EAMCET score, I chose multiple options with my preferences in order. There came the result saying that I got seat in Aurora Technological and research Institute.
