Some Facts Before joining - IBS Mumbai

I got shortlisted by giving IBSAT Exams. I went to IBS Hyderabad, the main campus for ICFAI University. The final process includes 2 rounds - One is of GD and the second is of PI round. We need to select the campus preference also. I prefer IBS Mumbai as my first preference. The admission process was smooth as well as organized. There were IBS mentors who were available to guide us in every possible way.

The course curriculum is quite vast. Classes from 9 to 5 pm were a little bit of a hectic schedule, but we need to prioritize things as the course is all about management. I choose this course because i want to get an experience of how management works. How we can deal with the real-world case scenarios. Faculties are always available to give address our queries whether it is a day or night. Some of the faculties do have not that much experience but eventually, it happens in every field. There are pros and cons of every side. Exams adn evaluation is in the whole process of this course. There is no day free to sit and rest you need to work daily for getting marks as evaluation method is also tough.

Only one or two companies offered stipends in the internship tenure. Mostly startup and Tier -2 and 3 companies with the internship except for 2-3 big companies. You need to do a lot of hard work to get an internship in your specialization. You can search from the outside also.

When you are in your 3rd semester after completing the summer internship you are eligible for campus placement. Grade point should be a minimum of 5.5 CGPA to sit for placements. An average number of students get the placement which is quite good.

Fees are very high because we did our studies online and had no campus visit, so I feel the overall course fees are high when we compared it with our average CTC at the time of final placement. Not everyone will receive the scholarship or stipend in internship and also there is no difference in the scholarship amount for a 10 CGPA student and for a 9 CGPA student.

As I have not visited the campus as such, I cannot comment on this. Online Library is available so we can read books at any point in time. There are various clubs in IBS, Mumbai where everyone can contribute and cab get selected.

Yes i faced group discussion round and personal interview round. I prepared for the rounds by myself and for the current affairs you just need to read newspaper or latest news articles daily to be aware of the current scenario.
