Unique course in Tamilnadu

I applied for anna university, Guindy Campus but I did not get a seat there. But I got admission to the MIT campus on the MBC quota. The admission was made via Tamilnadu Engineering Admission counseling. Based on the cut-off marks secured in 12th.For counseling initially paid 5000 Rs, later it was decreased in college fees.

I chose this course because it was a unique course as it is available only in selected colleges. There are around 60 students in one year. So adding four years there are around 240 students. Most of the faculty are professors and have 10+ years of experience in teaching. We have got around 20+ staff. We got semester exams at the end of each semester i.e.,6 months one semester. We got two assessments in a semester for 50 marks each. The first assessment will be held in around 2 months of the start of the semester, the second assessment will be held on 2 months after the first assessment. Then after 1 month, there will be end semester exams.

We attended an implant training at Indian Rubber Institute Kottayam. We have gone to many companies for internships. But some only received stipends. I finished a project on rubber nanocomposites. Everyone chose their project either in plastic or rubber.

From 7 semesters all the students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies have visited .IT companies like TCS ,INFOSYS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT have acquired many students. In my department, Many companies came for placement like CEAT tires, ATG tires, Gurit, Belt pro, Etc., Many students got placed.

The fee for one semester is around 8000,since i am a first graduate for me it is around 3700.(But the fees is increased for students who have joined from 2020,it is around 14000 Rs/semester)The cost of study is very less when compared with other colleges.The college has many scholarships like AMITAA,Community scholarship ,MGR memorial scholarship,etc.,

Ther are around two cultural fests one is Sivaranjini which will happen in the odd semester and another one is Mitafest which will happen in an even semester. Sivaranjini is an intra college fest while mitafest is an inter-college fest. Also, the Rotract club conducts two fests SPARISH and ROTOFEST, one in the even semester and another one in the odd semester. The Tamil mandram of mit conducts Tamil thiruvizha once a year. Each organization in mit has its own fest. Each department in college has its own symposium. For our department it is Elastoplaz. Every organization is run by students under the supervision of professors. A big library is available with many books.

I stayed in hostels. There are many hostel blocks. In one room there will be 2 students to 5 students based on the size of the room. The meal provided will be delicious. The hostel is cleaned every day. Also the hostel. got a store where we can buy necessary things and snacks. The registration process is easy and comparing other hostels the fees are very affordable.
