IBS-MUMBAI REVIEW

Applied for IIMs and didn't get admission there so went for IBS Mumbai. IBS accepts CAT score and IBSAT score and a minimum of 60 percentile must be there to be eligible for the admission process. It is followed by a group discussion among 8-10 members then a personal interview and this is compulsory for all the students, The admission process took place in IBS-Hyderabad.

The course and curriculum are very extensive a total of 32 subjects are being taught in the span of 2 years which compromise of 4 semesters,1st and 2nd semesters are common for all the students after that each student has to choose a specialization in the 3rd semester. The student-to-teacher ratio is 20:1 and they all follow the practical approach of teaching, case study, and according to what is the current industry is demanding. Most of the teachers have done their Ph.D. and have work experience in the industry. The exam occurred frequently in a group activity, CEC, semester exams, and was easy to pass.

IBS provides internship opportunities to each student, SIP is compulsory for every student which took place in February after the 2nd sem in which each student has to make a project while working in the different sectors. Companies like TATA, HDFC lIFE, ADITYA BIRLA, DHL, LODHA.SHAHPOORJI ETC comes to our college. Based on work and project students are evaluated and given marks

The 3rd-semester student is eligible for campus placement given that they have 5.5 cgpa and 75% attendance throughout. Companies from different sectors like BFSI, real estate, FMCG comes to our college and the average package is provided by them is 6.5 lakh. The highest package is 50 lakh is for finance background and 12 lakhs for marketing. Around 95% of students get placement through college and after completing the course I would like to work for an Ad agency.

The total fee is Rs 810000 and a total of five installments is to give and the fee increases after a 2-year span and generally a raise of 1.5 lakh is seen. They also provide scholarships to students in each semester on the basis of their marks and a paid job in the library is also provided to needy students.

The annual fest of IBS is Konflux held in January every year. It is an intercollege fest in which different events are organized by the clubs of IBS.IBS has a huge library in which lots of study material is available like business magazines, MBA books, etc. Well equipped AC classroom is there with projects and comfortable desks. Sports actives are conducted by the Sports Club of IBS like cricket tournaments, basketball marathons, etc. Lots of clubs are there in which one can be a part of like Kautilya,M360,MArkophillia, etc.

In GD the questions come from current affairs, business news, economic, and some common abstract topics and the GD took place in a group of 8-10 people and pannel of 2 members observe each student and GD is followed by a personnel interview in which they ask a general question like why do you want to do MBA, etc both of them is easy to clear, one needs to be confident., For preparation, I took the help of my friends and seniors and youtube also helped me a lot, and much material is also available online.
