Remarks

So, I was looking for a college for my graduation nearby me. So, applied on bbmku University website for the listed colleges. My top priority was bokaro steel city college other than that I also choosed rvs college Chas. So for the addmision process is like you have to register on bbmku website for addmision in ug. Upload your marks there, choose the colleges you want to apply for and based on your marks and your prioritiy a college will be alloted to you. Then you have to upload the required documents like marksheet, slc, caste certificate (optional) etc. On the university website and then pay the addmision fee online (in my case I paid rs 2300). Then you have to visit the college for document verification and to get the college ID. Minimum marks for bokaro steel city college physics honours is minimum 45% in pcm. There is also quota for sc/st/obc and sports.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

From the beginning of my 11th and 12th standard I'm very fond of Physics and mathematics that's why I choose to persue honours in physics and also there are more opportunities and jobs after bsc in physics compared to other streams. In bokaro steel city college the faculty: student ratio is not that great(1 per 250 students) as it is managed by state government. The qualification of teachers is above average (Almost every teacher has a P.hd) but the quality of teaching is not that great. Teachers often miss there classes and there way of teaching is very boring. On usual exams are taken in a interval of 6 to 8 months. But due to covid situation the exams got very much delayed l mean upto 10 to 12months. If you can complete the syllabus just by having few glances of the topics and follow the previous year question its quite easy to pass the examination by securing good marks. But most of the students always fail (almost 50% every semester).

Fees and Financial Aid

You will be surprised to see the fee structure of the college as the college fee is very low compared to private owned colleges. For a semester including addmision fee, tution fee, examination fee and other fees it's under rs2500. And you can also apply for scholarship offered by the Jharkhand government every semester on there website. The campus placement of the college is very poor. Once in 2 or 3 year a company will arrive for campus placement but it only take 10 to 20 students max. So don't expect any campus placement or internship. You will be very to get so.

Campus Life

3.5

The college is very active in terms of extra curriculum activities and you can also join NCC. There are various activities organised by the departments mainly department of arts for all of the college students. There is a college union also if you want to join headed by the students of M.sc and B.ed . Activities like singing, cultural, painting and quizzes are very common. You can join the college whatsapp group for the details or you can check the college website.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I see a lot of students who struggled in maths, that's why I chose this course. If I talk about real-world examples, from number systems to multiplication, fractions and trigonometry to find the height of pole. Areas of improvement are to relate mathematics with real-world examples, use methods like Vedic mathematics, and also creative, active participation rather than rote memorisation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was very fond of mathematics in my intermediate times that's why I chose to do my graduation from BSC Maths Honours. But I chose the wrong college for doing so, which overall ruined my life. After coming to this college, I lost my interest in studies and this is the only thing I gained from this college. So, I would recommend everybody to stay away from this college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Biotechnology is itself a very difficult and complicated course , a student has to give his best in order to understand the concepts well . Cirriculum of the college is really nice you will get time to be prepared and prepares you for real-world applications or further academic pursuits like IITJAM BIOTEC , GATB , CUETPG , AIIMS etc . the difficulty level is moderate if the student has prepared well and has clear concept in mind she can do well in exams.
