Remarks

The admission process is prolonged. First of all Admission procedure starts very late, and goes on for months. Almost 15-20 Rounds of counselling occurs. In the first 15 rounds, they call 10-15 students serially as per the merit list. And in the last rounds, they do mass counselling like other colleges. So you may need to wait for months after counselling starts. In my case, 2-3 weeks of classes already happened till the day I joined.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I choose this course because I was interested in Biology from a young age. And I liked field works which this course allows a lot. The faculty: student ratio could be 1:3 though I don't know the exact numbers. Faculty members are mostly Masters and PhD level. We had one term exam a semester with internals per sub in a semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure changes Every year. I got into with an admission fee of 7500/- in the first year. And 2nd year onwards it's 5200. There is a scholarship opportunity given by the college you can opt for that. You will be shortlisted based on your 12th marks and semester marks. Campus placement is not so good its though the subjects being taught are also not so company based job oriented.

Campus Life

3.5

Talking about fests. It's something u will never get away with Cultural fests/ Mela/ Cultural programmers are in loads per year. College/department libraries are very well managed. Even there is a Central Library at the University where u will get lots of books on various fields. Sports and extra curriculum activities are also but there you just need to be aware as these notifications don't get circulated well among all the departments. Social groups/ clubs may be one such category in which VISVA-BHARATI ranks in leading. May it be political, social, student communities etc.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Facilities provided at room are not something needed to be mentioned its like regular govt colleges. You get free wifi there though. By virtue of the law of almighty, hostel foods can be never a good one. So no need of arguing about that. Talking about locality is one of the prime reasons I chose the college. The environment o get is utter bliss. Full campus lured in nature no such stict boundaries. So u are in full freedom to enjoy the campus area! Not to mention its a Tourist place. Lakhs of tourists came accross to visit Rabindranath Tagore VISVA-BHARATI and Basanta Utsav, Poush Mela is the 2 Major attractions of tourists over the year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exam was divided into 3 parts I.e 1st mock (15) marks,2nd mock(15 mark) and then final (50mark) and rest 20 mark as practiCal and field work.the students who do class regularly,is easy to pass because teachers are awesome..but if anyone miss class then it's hard to understand by reading books. The guard during exam is too hard..so those students who read concentrately are passed easily .. and those who don't read whole year and only read exam night they failed..
