IIIT vadodara | first year experience | decent college |

I got this college through JOSAA, before this Institute, I got a seat in IIIT Trichy CSE but in the CSAB round I got IIIT Vadodara CSE I got OBC reservation benefit, in this the cutoff is slightly lower than general. You have to go through JEE main for this college and all JEE main criteria apply for this college also. The admission was fully in online mode, there was no counseling as pandemic is going on.

The course is similar to the course that runs in IIT, NIT, and other famous institutes. The faculty to student ratio was good before our batch but now it's poor as a batch of 250 students is quite large and before the batch size was ~100 in previous years. Most faculties are IITian Ph.D. professors and some faculties are shared from DAIICT to our college. There are premid sem, midsem, preend sem, end sem.the exams are online and MCQ based and Some part is subjective, these exams are not like typical lengthy university exams because it's an online mode, maybe in future, it can change.

Currently, I am a First-year student so I will provide internship experience when I grab it. But you can get a better idea from the website of the college. Or If I get feedback from seniors then I will post on this platform.

Currently, I m in 1st year so I don't have actual idea of placements but on rough basis, I can say in 3 rd and 4th year the students are offered the internships and PPOs . The placement stats are clearly mentioned on Institute website, the highest package is about 43.5 LPA and average is above 11 lpa for continous last two years.

Since this is a PPP mode college so fees are higher than IIT, NIT but lesser than those of private universities like amity, manipal, thapar etc. The placements are also quite nice as our college again got an average package of 13 and 11 LPA in last two years & highest is 43.5 LPA.The scholarships u can get which are provided by states, central government but college not gives any scholarships.

The campus is not existing for IIITVadodara. This is an IT college so life is not as expected in an college. The social life will be great as college is in Gandhinagar, ahmedabad. There is annual cult. Fest called Krieva, alfaaz . Tech fest called Cerebro, and their are many student clubs like photography club, music club, dance club, drama club, sports club.you will not miss the absence of clubs ,their are many clubs. There is an library, online library also. sports activity also organised in institute, there are annual sports meet, interIIIT sports events. The website that is being operated for our college is iiitvadodara.ac.in .. There are many other website that are being opertaed by student clubs like www.krieva2021.in , www.cerebro2021.in etc

The hostel facilities are given by the college are rented properties, the old hostel is a sabar campus but in a pandemic period, due to online mode, Institute is searching for new hostels which will be updated on the college's website. Institue allows final year students for PG but other year students have to live in Institute hostels.
