Entrance Preview

I took up the KMAT entrance exam. I opted to study in Kristu Jayanti College as I had heard a lot about its courses, teaching facilities, extra curricular activities etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Kristu Jayanti college provides various courses and a student can select it according to their interests. I opted for MCA. The complete 3 years that I spent in Kristu Jayanti college was a great study experience. The courses are taught to the students through various methods such as manual teaching, presentations, real life scenarios, seminars etc.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, Kristu Jayanti college provides internship opportunities. They provide us with well organised and supportive coaching that we will be able to clear any interview process easily without any fear. I had received my internship through the college itself and I was paid a stipend of Rs 18000.

Placement Experience

5

Kristu Jayanti college has a separate Placement cell. The teachers in the placement cell will guide and coach us with all the aspects regarding how to attend an interview. We have been coached in such a way that we have the confidence in cracking any interview without fear.

College Events

5

Even in such a busy schedule, Kristu Jayanti college is never backward to the various events conducted. We have had various intra collegiate and inter collegiate technical fests conducted. We also have various cultural fests conducted. Other than these, we have ethnic day, international women's day, teachers day, founders day, Christmas etc. celebrated in the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am aware of the scholarships provided by the college. This helps and motivates the students to study with a lot of interest. They also provide the students with the facilities to study abroad. We also have students from abroad (various countries) studying in the college who have been availing scholarships.

Hostel Facilities

5

I have not experienced the hostel facilities and the mess food of Kristu Jayanti college. However, I have had friends who stayed in the college hostel. I have never seen them complaining anything regarding the hostel or the mess food. They have always enjoyed the facilities provided.

Alumni/Alumna

We have an alumni association in the college and an alumni get together is organised every year mostly in the month on January. The senior students help the college in organising an interview for the juniors as part of recruitment from the companies that they work for. We have had many companies come over to the college for interviews through the alumni of the college.

Admission

I read through the admission process online. Checked for the phone number to contact the college office. They explained the complete admission process in detail to me. The admission forms are available online. I applied for the MCA course through the college website. I received an e-mail which stated that i was selected for the interview process. I attended the interview and got admission to the college.

Faculty

5

The faculties of Kristu Jayanti college are very friendly, motivating and very helpful. They are always available for the students in and outside college for any help or clarifications regarding course, subjects, personal queries, future plans, career discussions etc. I have never come across any situation where I couldn't receive a help from any of my teachers.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are average. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 2nd semester. Some companies visit the college and offer jobs in different roles. The average package is around 3-4 LPA and the highest package depends on the company. After completing my degree, I plan to get a good job and gain experience in my field

Placements are good...lot of my friends got placed. But it even depends on individual intrests. At starting you get paid less but later on experience u can earn more. In case if placement doesn't happen you will still have the chance to explore outside.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MCA course curriculum is well structured, relevant, and comprehensive. It covers core computer science subjects such as programming, data structures, databases, software engineering, and practical lab work, which influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a strong foundation for both real-world applications and further academic pursuits. With the support of good and experienced faculty, concepts are explained clearly through theory, practical sessions, assignments, and projects. Exams are conducted on a semester basis with internal assessments and end-semester examinations. The frequency and timing of exams are appropriate, and the difficulty level is moderate. Students who attend classes regularly and follow faculty guidance can perform well.
