Remarks

The admission process was very smooth. We had GDs and PIs for the selection process, before that there were mentoring and counselling sessions that were conducted by IBS at their different campuses. It really helped to go through the selection process. We had to reach hyderabad and the selection process was held there at the main campus- IBS Hyderabad. It was a smooth process, everything was planned well in advance and the results were also declared shortly. The admission criteria was that the minimum marks should be atleast 50% and above in any of the educational background.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose this course as I am a fresher and want to join the corporate world and this course will help me to be industry ready by inculcating skills in me that are needed to be in a corporate and help me to polish my existing skills. The faculty: student ratio is 1:30 around, but there are so many teachers who are readily available to help us whenever we need them. Also, IBSM has a lot of full-time faculty and visiting faculties to teach extremely professional subjects and help us grow more. All the faculties are highly qualified and at IBS we have a case-based learning approach which helps us to have a practical approach along with what the textbooks teach us. Exams are conducted every 2 months, along with it- there are internal evaluations, vivas, and presentations every week of different subjects that always keeps us on our feet. With so much competition, scoring is difficult but it helps us to utilize our maximum potential.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship companies are- shapoorji pallonji, jio creative labs, HDFC, IIFL Securities, Aditya Birla, Nielsen, Crisil, etc. The stipend varies from company to company, can be paid or unpaid. The best companies came with unpaid opputunities.

Placement Experience

5

From the 3rd semester, students are eligible for placements. Some companies that visit are- JPMC, Delloite, PWC, HDFC, ICICI, TCS. These are mass recruiters msotly.Other companies being- Balck rock solutions, GLobeop, Magic Bricks, Udemy, Collabera, Byjus's, Ugam solutions, AU small finance banks, INDX Capital, and others. IBS-M has an average of 97%-98% placement records. Various profiles like- consultant roles, associate trainee roles, others come to the campus, the highest package ranging from10-12 lakhs and average package ranging from 6-7 lakhs. My plans are to find a satisfactory position in a reputed organization.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is 8 lakhs and the average palcements is arounf 6.5 lakhs per annum, which is not a bad ROI. The admission fees is 80 thousand and then every few months you have to pay installments of 1.44 Lakhs (5 such installments till 4rth semester). One also needs to pay 10000 as the security deposit, which is refunded once you complete the course. You can apply for loans from different banks and the college also provides a bridge loan facility where you can make partial payments of the installments in the due course of the semester. Students who perform well and have a good CGPA in the semesters, also get scholarship cheques. The stipend during the internship is variable- paid or unpaid, depending on the company that is hiring you.

Campus Life

5

Owing to the pandemic, our sessions are still online, but IBS has left no stone unturned to help its students receive the best academic training. The semester-wise books are sent via courier to our homes and the online portal of IBS has several e-books, you name it and you get it. Other than that, the college has also started uploading important reading material from libraries to the online portals for our reach in pdf format. Classrooms normally have all the amenities of the modern classroom, shaped in the form of an amphitheatre, but right now zoom classes also have great ambience and interactive lectures. All kinds of sports and activities you will find at IBS. We have 23 clubs divided into 3 categories- domain, performing clubs and personality development clubs. (ALL RUN BY STUDENTS)So one can get a taste of everything here. So there is a vast sea of different cultures at the college and each festival and important day is given utmost importance and celebrated with the same joy.

Interview Experience

5

The selection process had IBSAT, GD, and PI. IBSAT is the entrance test for IBS if one has not appeared for CAT, GMAT, NMAT or any other entrance exams. One has to attend the GD and PI at the main IBS campus, i.e., Hyderabad, and then depending on the overall score of IBSAT/CAT/ other exams+GD+PI, the percentile is calculated and you are provided the campus that is best suitable for you. IBS has 9 campuses. IBS-M is at the second top IBS list, and if you score extremely well, i.e., around above 85 percentile, then you get IBS-M. The GD topics were either abstract or related to latest news articles. also the PI rounds were great, the interviewers understood the candidates and were friendly enough, IBS had conducted preparatory sessions at its different campuses to help people who are willing to prepare for the GD and PI. They conducted mock GDs and PIs to boost the confidence of the candidate.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.
