Remarks

I went through the achiever's round. First, we were made to sit in a room and the director addressed us. Next, we went for GD and we were given a topic. Post GD we need to fill up a page on the same topic. Once that round was done we had a PI. Basic questions pertaining to my CV was asked. Finally, we had the directors round.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

We had a trimester concept. So exams were held every 3-4 months. However, we always had some or other exams. Exams were generally tough but we were able to pass. Basically, we had relative grading, which made it a little easier for us. Few subjects were difficult, however.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship offer comes from a wide range of companies from reliance to Philips to Wipro to Asian paints. We have also had consulting companies visiting campus like GEP, Saint Gobain etc. It was an enriching experience.

Placement Experience

3.5

Campus placement starts during the 5th sem when people start getting PPO and PPI. Companies name am not sure if we are allowed to disclose, you can find the details on the college website. Everyone gets placed without fail. The average salary would be around 9-11 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got an internship in GPiL and my final placement was with Infosys limited. The stipend was around 20000. Apart from all this we also participated in several case studies and we won as well. The placement was good also but yeah it could have been better.

Campus Life

4

Life at the campus is good. It is one of the best campuses. We were literally amidst nature. I couldn't expect a better campus. We had a gym, swimming pool, volleyball court. We can play games like cricket, table tennis. There are a plethora of groups mainly called clubs and societies. You can pick them based on your interests.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel was good. Initially, we were 2 people sharing the room and later it was an individual room. The room had beds, tables, chairs, wardrobe, shoe rack. I enjoyed a dedicated balcony in the first year, though you won't get it probably. Meal quality will be like any other hostel, though you won't mind.

Interview Experience

4.5

Yes, as I said earlier firstly we had a group discussion. It was on something related to current affairs mainly. First, we were given around 1 min to think. Then we were given 9 mins to discuss and finally, we needed to summarize. Next, we need to write 1 page about the discussion. After that, we had two rounds of PI.

In the first year, students are eligible for summer internship placements from the first term onwards. Decent number of companies visit the campus and offer roles across various domains. The placement committee provides good placement support.

Placement Experience:

The placement record has been 100% for years now. The SIP process begins in the first year and final placement process starts in the early-middle of second year. The highest package went upto 55 Lacs last year, lowest was around 12 Lacs. I plan to take direct placement from the college and start my corporate career.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very good and faculties are also very qualified. I choose BDA because of its value in the market and my interest area. BDA of GIM is even beating it's flagship course in terms of placements. But the thing is you have to come prepared before coming to B-School. In term-1, there will be basic subjects only but companies coming for summer internship will expect more from you. So, my advice would be to invest the time students get in between admission in B-School and joining the B-School in improving their skills sets.

Goa university department of management and studies is very good college for the student who was polish there knowledge through help of faculties who are expertise in there own field. It definitely help to grain more knowledge and improvements of skill but only major thing issue is of placement. There has been not proper placement over the years which should be given priority and introduction of new companies for placement should be brought. Also campus should be focused more and should be improve to some extent.
