Remarks

The college is great and I have no bad remarks . I had a great time here and hope for the next batch of students a great medical life ahead.

Entrance Preview

I wrote the AIIMS medical entrance exam and scored 75%, and I chose the college because I fee that it's the best in india.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

For people wanting to focus on research I would say this a very good college with professors ready to help you on your future ambitions on research. They are very supportive and don't force any decision. The course structure is very disciplined and focuses on every field.

Internships Opportunities

I'm not yet sure about the internship as I haven't started it yet. But as far as I know internships are obviously available at the university and you will have to look at the college's official site for details.

Placement Experience

3

No companies came to the college in search of students for jobs or atleast that's what I know. But once you pass out of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, you have a pretty good resume to work with and shouldn't be a problem anywhere. You have a doctor's degree after all.

College Events

3.5

There are a few functions and programs that every college or university has to help with the social mind of the student. They are times to relax and gives opportunities for students to show off their talents. Sometimes there are big events too, these are very exciting but are not always mandatory.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is not expensive once you get a seat after passing the exam. I do not know about the fee structure as it was my uncle who took care of all that. You can refer to the administration of All India Institute of Medical Sciences or look at the official site for the fee structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

I do not know of any Loans or scholarship facility offered by the college that might have been availed. Please refer to the official site or ask the administrative board of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences for further details.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is great with equality on the gender at the ratio of 1:1. Different in diversities is great at making new friends. There are sports grounds for students to vent out in between studies and help on maintaining a healthy physical life. There is no racism and everyone is felt as an equal within the walls.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel rooms are shared with a room mate. Students that take the rooms are usually the ones that come for out of Delhi. They are well furnished and provide an adequate environment to aid in studies. The mess food is great especially the fact that everything is neat and tidy.

Alumni/Alumna

We had a few alumni who work at the hospital right next to the college and are very helpful if asked for anything. They help us students in studies and also in the medical life with patients.

Exam Structure

Since it's medicine, it's always hectic during exams but not for those who study on a regular basis. I guess one should clearly have a mind focused on studying if you join medicine, otherwise it's pointless. The exams and labs were frequent to help with studying and disciplining.

Admission

Most of the paperwork was done by my uncle, but it seemed rather easy once u score enough marks. The administration is very helpful and kind and listens to everything you have to say. I expected to go through many troubles but the process didn't take too long.

Faculty

5

Every single professor at the college is very smart and eager to teach all the students. They work with the intention just to impart knowledge on the students. I personally was the teacher's favorite, but the teachers never showed any partiality and showed patience to every single student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspect that influenced me is the externals and clinicals that made by decision to take this course because more than theory is the postings and clinicals which are neccessary to become a good doctor and also helps you to gain confidence. This is not just a curriculum but is a priority academics that prepares a student to save ones life which is far more important than just learning or reading. And yes it prepares us very well through clinicals and postings in addition to theory lectures or exams. As per my view, improvements in posting durations is very important than theory durations due to the priority. And yes teaching methods may get improve if some more fresh cadavers may get introduced in college every year. Exam are held in two phases, 3 terminals and 1 final. 3 terminals are held whole year with 3 to 4 months gap and finals at the end of the semester which is the final exam. Terminals exams are easy and quick whereas finals are tough and time consuming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you're getting into MBBS, you have cleared neet and you have a slight idea of what you're getting yourself into. The subjects are tough, especially anatomy, because of the vastness of the subject. But if you're consistent and making lil efforts everyday, it's achievable without hampering the fun part of college life. Here are a few gem of resources that everyone uses for first year. Biochemistry - jambhulkar notes, Vasudevan/ satyanarayan book Lippincott for advanced studies Physiology - Sembulingam and Guyton. I swear by them. It doesn't get any simpler than this. Ganong for in depth studies Anatomy - Johari for exams Vishram Singh for easy to understand language and super simple diagrams Gray's anatomy for in depth understanding. Embryology - vishram Singh Histology - IB Singh Dissection - Cunningham or Mercy Navis There will be 2 terminal exams 1 pre University and then the final University. Don't rely on lectures to prepare you for this. You'll have to teach yoursel
