I had applied to many colleges for admission, but I got admission to Gangadhar Meher University, Sambalpur in 2015. Now the University is doing an eligibility test or interview for admission in the university with a carrier mark. After completion of that, the university shortlisted all candidates. The admission fee is around 4000.

I had chosen Geography (Hons). Because Geography is a robust academic subject rich in skills, knowledge and understanding. There is very good strength of faculty for teaching and they are very trained and intelligent. The exam was held in 6 semesters and each semester in 6 months. A good, hard-working student can achieve above 60 % easily.

For instance, a student might take a marketing internship and find in the process that the responsibilities of the human resources staff are more in line with their interests.

For financial marketing subjects like BBA, MBA, etc the companies visited and offer job. For subjects like Arts and science, there is no facility for campus placement. I have chosen Arts because i want to enter in civil service.

The university takes a fee of around 1000 rupees in each year. But there are a lot of financial subject like BBA, MBA, etc. For admission in this subjet the university charge a fees of 50000 per year. There are many trained faculty for this subject also. In this subject students can get campus placement.

Every year the university organised college annual function and competition like song, dance, debate or essay etc. And in every year all department of university go for picnic. A lot of books are available in the university library like books of all subjects of the university , megazin, paper, journal etc. The university also organise annual sports competition every year. Many students participate in this competition. The university conduct election in every year for the students to get knowledge about election. Yes, there is a social group for students in facebook and whatsapp and also a website .

The university provides a separate hostel for boys and girls. There is 5 hostel for girls and 5 hostels for boys. The university charge Rs.12000 for a hostel per student. The university provides breakfast and meals for students with extra fees. The food made in a hostel is average in quality and taste. there are many chambers and rooms available near the university for rent.
