Remarks
You have to apply online for admission. At my time, the form filing fees were Rs.1000. It is 5 min process to get filled your form. The Admission Process was so easy. After getting selected for Admission, you will be called for a Personal Interview. A personal Interview is not a criterion for admission. It's just a familiar meeting. An Induction was conducted one day before 1st day of college.
Course Curriculum Overview
1) I am pursuing CA and that's why I have opted for B.com. 2) Faculties are highly educated and professional. Their teaching methods are so interesting except for some. But every college has some of those faculties. They are very supportive and ever ready to help students.
Internships Opportunities
3 months internship is compulsory for getting B.com Degree. It just improves your CV and increases your experience. You can get an internship from any company whether it is a Small Company or a Large Company.
Placement Experience
There is a separate department for Campus placement. You have to apply to that department. Campus Placement is not easy. Interviews conducted by different companies and multinational companies go by series of interviews. After clearing all interviews, you got jobs in those companies. Many multinational companies, financial services rendering companies, Big Four select different students based on their performance. The highest pay offered at my time by one of the Multinational Companies was Rs.18 Lakhs per year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Cost is around Rs.55,000 per year if you are taking admission for the morning Batch. There is also financial assistance given by colleges like concessional fees and waiving off of fees. I haven't applied for Campus placement but my friends who applied got jobs in Multinational Companies, Big Four, and other Financial Analytics Companies. The interview process depends on the company's policy.
Campus Life
Various exhibitions were held like book exhibitions, Armory exhibitions, etc. The Annual Fest which is so popular in the whole of Kolkata Is Xavotsav. Many celebrities, DJs, Singers, and others were invited. Entry is on a Pass basis. Social life is very cool. Different students come from different backgrounds. We get the opportunity to understand all cultures and people.
