Review from a 2k19 batch student

I had applied for iiest shibpur civil Engineering and also NIT patna civil. But i wanted that NITian tag. That's why i left IIEST. And i did my foundation from Patna that's why i reject Nit patna. I have availed EWS quota. And income less than 1lack which helps me to get fee remission. You have to qualify jee meains with a decent rank to get admission into NIT JAMSHEDPUR. Minimum marks for getting civil engineering in Nit jamshedpur for a EWS student would be something around 170 Admission process was quite lengthy. But the administration was helpful.

I wanted to become a government office that's why i choose civil. Faculties are well educated. Some of the faculties are just awesome. But some are just useless. Term exams were tough. Five invigilators are their ina room. And they are too strict. You can not rotate with a single radian.

I'm currently in 3rd year. I don't know much about internship. But there is a lot of person who got there internship last year from 2k18 batch. Some of them got GROWW company with a decent stipend. One of our senior got stipend of 50k per month by groww 6 months

From 7th sem students are eligible for placement. In our college placement is decent. Almost everyone who wants a job will get. For civil Engineering highest package was 11lacks. And average packsge was 6lpa. Many students plans for gate exams after getting the degree and i also lie in this category.

Fee is too much. And for a poor students also you have to pay whole fee for sem and then college will verify your income certificate and remission will be done. There is no scholarships for general students. A general students will have to pay full fee of amt 1,04,000 per semester and then 61,000 will be remitted.

Anual fest name is culfest. And the techno fest name is . Generally these are conducted in nove-dec. Books are there in library but librarian is very bad. Many boys have to face problems while taking books from library. Sports are good but not in that way. If you are a good player of any game then the sports team will induct you otherwise if you want to learn any game there is no space for you. There are many clubs which run by students. Like- photography and filmmaking club phocus, ahwahan etc

In first year there is two story building and two boys will have to live in a single room. In the room there is one fan, two seperate beds(you have to carry your bed, pillow), one study table and chair, two almari. Mess menu is not that good but it's just okay. In morning there is some breakfast menu and then in noon chawal daal sbji roti etc. And in eve there is snacks and tea. And in night also food is there. For secnd and third year there is 7 story building . The hostel rooms are too good. And from 2nd year onward you will have to live in a single room.
