Remarks

I applied for Hoogly Moshin College and did not get admitted due to a low percentage at H.S as 82.4. No, I've not availed any quota for addmission to AJC Bose College. I directly get admission. There was the minimum percentage for addmission for English Honours was 60% and the age is about 18+. No there was no counseling for addmission.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I'm good at English. And my scope was to get a job as Translator. And if didn't be able to get that then there were many scopes for job as Teacher line, Civil jobs are also available. There were many students who are doing English Honours in this college as about 90-95. The teaching methods of every teacher were quite good as firstly they introduce the syllabus or the chapters or the important question which are coming in the examination. There were about 3 hours of term exam and it was quite difficult for everyone ... As Calcutta University provide some moderate type questions. But if you study well then you could pass it easily.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 12400 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm new in this college so I don't not deeply about these fees structure... But I know that there is a one-time payment for a 1year course as of 12400 for English Honours. After this, there is also a scholarship for girls (Kanyashree) which the college provides. But the fees of this college were high of almost Private College type ... Soo if the fees of this course will be low then It could be very better of lower financial people and middle-class people...

Campus Life

There is always many fest and programs happen. But in this situation of Covid 19 we people didn't get any fresher party or any type of functional programs. But in this college, I heard and seen that every year when new students of 1st year enter then there is a fresher party happens. The library was also very much better in this college and I'm very thankful that every course of books is available. Mainly there is always a cultural program was conducted by the college... But the campus of our college was very worst... There is no ground are available. There are no canteens are available. The campus was very small.

The field tricks are done sometimes to make us understand the reality and the course is really good. I love that and the field trip helps us a lot to explain and to learn things that happening around us and foods are provided from the school or sometimes on trips, I'm really happy with my college.

A place to enhance skills

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because it has lots of scope in future to get a job and also it is a good subject or my National language. In this college lots of faculty has been given to the students. Well, I am also a new student but I can say that all teaching and non teaching staff and also the office staff are very humble to the students and they help us a lot. I am in B.A. 1st year student and lots of faculty has been given by our beloved teachers and office staff. The teachers are very humble by nature and the way they taught us is really mind blowing I am very grateful that I am a student of those teachers. In every 6 months, you have to give one semester examination and as I already told you that I am a new student and my exam is in February month so I do not have experience with the paper and how difficult it to pass but I can say you read properly you can pass the exam in Good marks.

Choosing this college is basically my dreams cause it doesn't have so many criteria and as a college life if u want to pursue different course then it's the best option to choose this collehe rather than a strict college..
