Remarks
I'm currently in first-year BTech program IT branch, in GTBIT admission process, is simple you just need a valid JEE Mains paper 1 score and sit in the counselling process of GGSIPU, you will surely get good branch here, I got more college options during my counselling but I select GTBIT because it's near to my house, there is a reservation for Sikhs as well, I got this college through all India quota.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this program because of my interest in coding, faculty is experienced and will help you in every way possible but you'll have to initiate and show your potential to make a point. Teachers are knowledgeable that's why they are there and there might be some who may not seem so but it's just because we as students haven't done our part right of participation in class or outside (not that I know of) but I know few cases from which I can say, if you have something in mind and you want to work on it, be it a business idea/ application idea/ art idea, you'll get help for everything, again emphasising on this but, you'll have to initiate this process you'll have to shift the gear from neutral to forward. Term exams are easy to pass.
Internships Opportunities
GTBIT provides average placements. Almost 70-80% of the students got placed in companies like HCL, Infosys, Wipro, Paytm, Swiggy, Zomato, and other tech companies. The average salary package offered in GTBIT is 5-6 LPA for CSE and IT students.
Placement Experience
In 7th sem companies starts to come but visiting companies are not of that level but descent, I have seen many seniors who got a job in Amazon, Directi through campus placement, around 70-75 get places here, highest CTC this year was given by Amazon that is 32 LPA, but you can't completely depend upon the college for the placement you can try off-campus or do a masters like MTech, MS, MBA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is around 4.6 lakh per year but you'll get a scholarship from the government, there are many scholarship schemes if you genuinely need them you can apply for the same, one scholarship which remembers is Delhi higher education financial assistance scheme.
Campus Life
The name of the GTBIT annual fest is GATES, it's a pretty awesome fest in Delhi many good Punjabi singers already visited here, there is one very good club that is GDSC (google developer student club), sadly no facility for sports, the library is good.
