Entrance Preview

I wrote exam conducted by GGSIPU itself and scored 4947 rank. I chose this college because I was with a few options and the trend showed this college as emerging from its previous year. I chose B.Tech(EEE) as I wanted to pursue my study in something core like subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Course structure is as per the standards of UGC and gets conducted by GGSIPU. During the first year, one has to study all the generic subjects hence the course is same for each and every First year student in the university. Specialisation starts from second year and later on we get a chance for industry visits in summer training to increase our knowledge within our stream.

Internships Opportunities

College also provided internship but there was no stipend and most of the students choose to get an internship outside.

Placement Experience

3

College tries to get each and every student placed but that is not feasible. Those deserving people gets placed in different companies. Those who are left continuously get chances to get placed in another companies on or off campus. Alumnus also help in this.

College Events

3.5

Tech and College fest GATES is the highlight. The dramatic society of GTBIT is famous not only in GGSIPU but in DU and other universities as well. People from different colleges come to participate in the fest. Funding is given from college and sponsors. This gives chance to students to manage events which is quite useful.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite feasible in comparison to other colleges from the same or other university. There is no scholarship issued by the government. However, concession was given to some people who were economically not much strong. Every year college fees hikes a bit but overall fees is nominal.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no such scholarship issued by the government. However, concession was given to some people who were economically not much strong.

Campus Life

2

Gender ratio was around 10:7. Workshops are conducted on timely basis. College is highly active in extra co-curricular activities field. Labs are in good condition. Tech and College fest GATES is the highlight. The dramatic society of GTBIT is famous not only in GGSIPU but in DU and other universities as well.

Hostel Facilities

2

There is no hostel facilities. But there are a few PGs available in the nearby area at low prices. People from outstations live there. Located at a prime location, food is not an issue as you can eat at a lot of places as per your choice. Food in the college canteen is also good but not economical.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are still in contact with the placement cell and help the juniors to get placed. They have created many forums for the same.

Exam Structure

Exams are conducted on regular basis. There are two semester per years. And in each semester two unit tests are conducted internally. In the end lab exams are conducted internally with the main exams which are conducted externally. You get plenty of time to study between these exams.

Admission

I got the admission by attending the counselling process conducted by GGSIPU. The exam got conducted in May and the result was out in June. A lot of people write this exam so the counselling process was quite cumbersome. However, with a little problems, I got admitted to GTBIT and there was no looking back after that.

Faculty

1.5

The faculty of college has a number of people from different educational history. Some are B.tech, others are M.Tech and some are Ph.D. They are okay regarding their teaching skills given that students attend the classes which happen very less number of times.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
