Ashish's Review On Manipal University - [MUJ], Jaipur

This college has been instrumental in My phenomenal growth not only in the career aspect but in my personal attributes also. In Manipal University Jaipur, I have grown as an individual. The facilities and amenities provided prevent students from home sickness & the infrastructure here Is world class. The placement that I received was my dream placement package & I can not thank my faculty and administration enough. The hostels are extremely comfortable & the mess is hygienic. Staying away from home was made easy in MUJ. The faculty is supportive & encouraging in all endeavours.

I took MU OET (Manipal University Online Entrance Test) which is a university level entrance test which is organized by Manipal University. I scored pretty well in the exams. The main motive of opting Manipal University Jaipur for my Bachelors was because of its outstanding balance they keep both in Academics and extra curriculars also Manipal the name itself says it all.Its one of the best university not only in the country but across the globe, and also the beautiful infrastructure can never be left behind.

Course is divided into 8 semesters, Electronics & Communication Engineering deals with the electronic devices, circuits, communication equipment’s like transmitter, receiver and integrated circuits, all the labs are well established with a good number of devices. It is an engineering discipline which utilizes non-linear and active electrical components to design electronic circuits, devices and systems, also designs passive electrical components, usually based on printed circuit boards it aims to deepen the knowledge and skills of the students on the basic concepts and theories that will equip them in their professional work involving analysis, systems implementation, operation, production, and maintenance of the various applications in the field of Electronics and Communications Engineering, so many research work keeps on going sideways in this field, with many live projects and training related modules.

Yes, the college provides internship. It arranges training for students in industries for 8 weeks at the end of 6th Semester and for 6 months in the 8th Semester. All the Engineering Department students undergo Six months training. Talking about stipend in my case I got INR 20000 stipend per month during my Internship students either got offers for direct recruitment or through internship followed by placement. Many companies across sectors, with Amazon, Appirio, SAP Lab, CSC, Asahi Glass, Kirloskar, Eagle Burgman, ST Microelectronics, cruiseline shipping, JCB, Infineon, Temenos, TCS, etc were hosted.

Training and Placement Cell at MUJ is a well-established cell and conducts training activities for the final year students mainly focusing on Career planning, Personality Development Industry- Institute Interaction, off site training, guest lectures, Industrial visits, Campus placements, Entrepreneurship Development. In view of above Training and Placement Cell conducted various programs like Group Discussions, Mock Interviews, and Aptitude test etc to encourage students and to develop their skills. During my time many companies like Secure Meters, Amazon, Deloitte, TCS, Amazon, Sap Labs , Sapient to name a few drives were there which offered high packages as around 10-12 lpa, and securing successful placements offering decent packages to all.

Majorly there were 3 fests ,Technical festival, Cultural festival Sport festival with a MUN (Model United nations) every year and infinite number of workshops, club activities were held during the year. All the festivals had a good budget which was taken care by different committess like sponsorship and many other. All the festivals attracted the participation from around the country in a good number which raised the level of the festivals every time.

Fee Structure is quite simple, fee is divided into two, one is tuition fee and hostel fee which includes the mess charges in it. Total Tuition Fee:- 1,031,000, Hostel Fee:- 1,45,000 per year (AC Double Occupancy). Totally worth the money. The Hostel fee includes all the Mess, utility, and hostel charges.

Scholarships are available for meritorious students of different streams and disciplines like TMA Pai Engineering Scholarships, TMA Pai Merit Scholarships, Rajasthan Merit Scholarships, and many more. Manipal University has Signed up for an MoU with Credila (an HDFC Ltd. Company initiative, which is India’s First Dedicated Education Loan Company). They provide customised student loans ( Loans of up to 100% of the Cost of Education - without any collateral ) for the students of Manipal University Jaipur.

Manipal University Jaipur provides a unique environment for students to grow under the guidance of experienced academicians and acquire creative, innovative and technological skills, which are required to make the students profession- and industry- ready. Many indoor and outdoor facilities are available to students, for sports, cultural and technical activities outside the classroom, through various Student Clubs. The sports facilities include TT, carrom, football, tennis, badminton, squash, cricket, throwball, kabaddi, etc. Intra- and inter-University matches take place regularly, throughout the year. The Music, Literature and Dramatics Clubs facilitate students to hone their creativity and show their prowess in the cultural arena, under the able guidance of expert faculty. Technical Clubs like the Green Club, Robotics Club, IEEE Students’chapter, IE(I) and ICEIT chapters, etc., allow the students to learn and update themselves with the latest technologies and showcase their abilities in various fields, outside their scope of study there is no discrimination on anything, everyone is treated equal.

College has a good number of Hostels available for students who join the college, the room in no less than a 5 star hotel with the fully centralised Air conditioning systems, and full day hot water facility, proper wifi connection. Hostels have good number of Purified Water Coolers installed in every block. Talking about Mess food, mess food is very hygienic,proper salad, curd is there with milk, coffee, tea in morning with different varieties of Breakfast, luch and dinner meals which keep on changing with season to season, proper sweet dish and paneer twice times a week is included in menu, mostly there are few days where special lunch/dinner is arranged where chinese and other cuisines are served. Also adding to this many other shops for Pizza, fruits, etc is there where you can order pay and enjoy the food.

Exam structure was actually chilled out, the Exams and Labs were actually based on the credit system, every course has its own credits, and accordingly the classes were there in a week, usually the labs had 1 credit and subjects had 4 credits each and 3 credits for an elective subject. There were 2 exams 1 hour each in a day and they lasted for 3 days without a day break called as sessionals, and one final semester exams 3 hour exams one in a day and may have a day break in between.

Admission Process is simple, once you have got the MUOET result announced you will be called for counselling based on your rank, you will be shared with a Counselling pdf file from where you can see your date of counselling and you can attend the counselling at any of the venue listed there with all the documents mentioned, there the live status of seat allotment will be seen, and you can decide for your branch(specialization) there, choose and block your seat by submitting the fees and documents. All Admissions are made only on merit and marks/grades obtained in the qualifying examination
